Nelson, a truly skilled mason and professional, was reliable, efficient and methodical in completing the project for us on time and within budget. His Crew Chief, a gentleman named Lazarov, was a real master at building and fabricating things, and each of the guys on the crew was a solid professional. It was a pleasure having them around, watching them work, and learning some of their tricks and techniques for doing things! These guys did a beautiful job of replacing my deck, and bringing it up to current Fairfax County codes. This new deck is much better and stronger than the old deck was, and should last for many years!"

"I didn't have a great experience with HAL Co. They take FOREVER to return calls/emails. The day they were scheduled to come replace my fence they no-showed and I had to call the office around 4 pm to find out they weren't coming because a job was running late. The rescheduled installation was a day I was in the office. The crew said the outlet in my back yard wasn't working, so they left without calling me or ringing the doorbell to ask about it (the circuit just needed to be reset, which my partner at home could have done). I didn't find out until several hours later when the office called to tell me the crew had left. The fence finally got installed, and a few days later a neighbor found nails in two of his tires. The crew claimed they performed a metal sweep of the area, but now the neighbor is trying to get me to replace his tires. Finally, the gate latch got damaged somehow, possibly in a storm that happened a few days after the fence install, and HAL wanted $130 to replace the latch. I bought a latch kit off Amazon for $30 and did it myself."
