"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. Due to a minor water leak a section of drywall about 8' x 2' had been cut out. The trim in this area and on the other side of the hall plus a closet had to be placed as well. The drywall and trim had been removed due to a small amount of mold from the water leak.  I called George's painting due to all the great reviews here on Angie's list.  I received an estimate on this work and in addition I asked for an estimate on some painting.  I thought the estimate was very fair. George was extremely professional and even came to look at what the job entailed late on a Friday evening as he was returning from other jobs on his way back to his office. This was absolutely fine with me as I had no plans to go anywhere.  George sent my estimate first thing Monday morning.

In the end I used George's only for the drywall and trim work. The job was easily scheduled and the 2 man crew did an outstanding job. I couldn't even tell there had been any damage. The trim work was outstanding as well with nice miter cuts. It lined up well with the existing molding where the miter cuts met.  It only took them approximately 4 hours to do the job.  I plan to call George's in the future for outside painting of my house.

"Job went very smoothly, Mike (business owner) and Mike (employee) worked 2 days. Job was somewhat difficult since old stems on bathtub and shower leaked and needed to be replaced. House is older and it was not so easy to find replacement parts. Mike has a good contact person far out in Virginia with a large inventory of even older parts. He drove out and spend his time to look for the appropriate parts. Thus he was able to replace the stems without having to cut into the shower wall or the bathtub wall.

"The overall experience was exceptional. Luis meet with my wife and I and did a walk thru of the property and provided us with an estimate within an hour of the walk-thru. I already had heard excellent things about his company from numerous co-workers who had FDC paint their home. "A water pipe broke upstairs and did considerable damage. Lemus Contracting had to take down the kitchen cabinets and rebuild the drywall ceiling and walls, then put everything back up. The drywall all had to be repainted. The same type of work was necessary in the bathroom. They were helpful in proposing solutions to various problems that arose during the reconstruction. Finally they had to dry things out to prevent mold and also replace some of the laminate flooring which had been damaged in other rooms. I found them to be conscientious and punctual in their work. I have used them for other projects since then with similar results."
