"They were great! Called them to get a quote and the call a returned promptly. They were able to come within less than a week. We called them to come fix some dropping drywall tape in several areas in our home. They arrived right on time and as we walked through to look at the problem areas they also pointed out other areas that needed attention to prevent future problems. They covered and moved all furniture and the floors to protect them. Work was done in a timely manner and looks amazing! They cleaned up and left no mess behind at all. We appreciate their great work and our house is now all ready to be painted! Thank you"

"Our bathroom was remodeled down to the studs! The bathroom had new dry wall and the new paint tied everything together! (Used two different colors for the walls and ceiling for a custom touch). Our interior doors were also replaced with new door frames/molding. The painting for the new doors, trim, and surrounding drywall repair looked like a magazine when the work was completed. The team was a pleasure to work with, stayed on their timeline, and meticulously cleaned after their days work. We highly recommend Gibbs painting for all your home projects!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

With its breathability and flexibility, lime plaster is among the most durable of all plaster types. It's also fire-resistant and has a proven track record, as people have been using it for thousands of years.

However, all plaster types will last for many years with the right care and treatment. Proper preparation and installation will also help ensure your plaster walls look great for as long as possible.

Common causes include water leaks, settling, and impact. Address underlying issues to prevent recurring damage.

Drywall can get wet and dry out without sustaining permanent damage, but only if the water damage is minor. If you have a small leak and are quick to correct the issue and set up blower fans and dehumidifiers, your drywall should dry out. If the leak is persistent, the drywall becomes totally waterlogged, or mold begins forming on the drywall, you should remove and replace it.

Drywall mudding can be done in one day if the project is small and the desired effect isn’t too complex. If you need multiple layers of mud, one day may not be realistic. But a single room that requires little more than joint compound on the seams and screws can be done in a day or two.

Whether you need drywall anchors depends on your specific project, particularly where you are hanging an item. Drywall anchors are not necessary if you can drive a screw directly into a wooden stud behind the wall, as the stud provides sufficient support. However, since studs are not present everywhere in a wall, you will need to use drywall anchors if you are hanging an object in a location without a stud. For very lightweight items, picture hanging strips can also be a suitable alternative.
