Cornelio and his team did a great job on the renovations to our coop apartment. We hired them to do a complete renovation of the kitchen and two bathrooms, and partial renovations to the entryway, living room and dining room. We worked collaboratively with Cornelio in the design and execution. One of the best attributes that Cornelio brings to a project is to solve unanticipated problems as they arise with creative and cost effective solutions. Would I hire him again? Absolutely.

Wonderful! Cornelio was great to work with. He and his team were very professional and I feel like I was given their time and attention. Cornelio was always very responsive and helpful in decisions that we had to make. We moved out for the renovation and were out of town for part of it and he often sent me pictures in the evenings so I could see the progress. We have lived in our home for 7.5 years so we had a good feeling for what we needed. We hired an architect and a designer separately and that was helpful as we went in prepared with what we wanted done. Cornelio and his team took out a wall and a half bathroom and removed most of the plaster (we live in a 1930's row house in Washington, DC). He also built us a new half bathroom and rebuilt walls and doors that needed to be done. When he took out the plaster and such he found old pipes and wires that needed replacing and took care of it. He didn't ask for more money it was included in the work. One thing that really impressed me is we decided to keep our old cabinets and have them painted (by a separate company). When his guys took them off the wall they were damaged (not because of the guys negligence, they had been cement glued to the walls instead of screwed into the walls as they should have been. Cornelio made sure they were repaired and installed in a much better and safer way and you can't tell at all! We love our new kitchen and half bathroom so much! It makes our house much more comfortable and usable for our family!

Cornelio was a pleasure to work with. My bathroom project was complicated - it required electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and tile work. Cornelio handled it all. He did a great job and did not exceed his estimate. I very happy with his work and I recommend him highly.

We hired crg to turn our single bathroom into two. Started out well, but problems began to appear before construction was completed, and have not been fixed many months later. In sum we are left with: - sinks that are unsealed from slab - unsealed toilet base - cracks in paint of a newly installed door - separating newly installed tile and cracks in grout - loose door hardware - cabinet not installed With as much time and money as this took (we moved out of our home for 10 weeks) we didn’t anticipate we’d need numerous repairs before work was even completed, and that - despite a contractual 1 year guarantee - our many inquiries about these items would receive no response. We just want the job done.
Response from CRG Remodeling
"This response it address your claims and other situations that arose with this project that you do not mention. The project was going well and according to plan until the very end of work being completed. You contacted me stating that the baseboard heater that was included in the contract and that you had previously approved, after I sent you a link of the item for your review and approval l, was not sufficiently adequate to heat up the small bathroom. Even though in my professional experience that 24 inch baseboard heater was standard and adequate for the size bathroom, I still agreed to remove and replace with a baseboard heater of your choosing provided you supply the replacement and advise when to install. At your suggestion I even agreed that you withhold the final $1,200 owed on the contract until we could finish the installation, because CRG strives to keep our customers happy. However, I did not hear from on your end you for almost 9 months after that at which point your husband contacted me to request that we come back to fix an unsealed toilet and cracked grout. I did mention to your husband that we needed to be compensated for the baseboard heater that we installed according to your original approval/contract or to install the replacement heater that you would provide and we would come address the other new issues as well. You insisted that we come out to complete the touch ups before and you would address the baseboard heater at a later time. This was not in compliance with our original agreement/contract which we did honor but did not receive full compensation for. Due that breach of the original agreement and no movement on your end to complete according to the agreed upon baseboard heater solution we could not in good faith come back to touch up the issues that arose after work was completed. We went above and beyond to accommodate your issues and concerns to try to resolve issues that were quite frankly not required by us to complete/resolve. We still want to resolve this issue and our offer to install the new backboard heater is still available provided we get our agreed upon compensation. Once that is resolved and we receive payment we can fix and address the cracked grout and unsealed toilet. At no point before did you mention loose hardware or doors but provided these issues were not caused or damaged by you living in the space we can fix and resolve. Please note the work was inspected and approved by an independent DCRA Inspector and there was not an unsealed toilet when we left the project but we can still resolve once we are fully compensated in accordance with original contract. Also we do have extensive picture of our completed work at your residence if needed."

Cornelio and his team did a fantastic job at a price below our other quotes. They knew what they were doing and were very fast with high quality work. There was one small issue that arose a month later and they immediately came back and rectified it. Very happy with Cornelio and his team and would recommend CRG.

Outstanding service and quality of work. Can-do attitude. Considerate, accommodating. Highest recommendation. One of their references described her husband/developer as a perfectionist and highly recommended this company. In our experience, the company lived up to the recommendation.

CRG Remodeling did an awesome job in the total gutting of our kitchen and the addition of a powder room in our home. We have an older 1920’s vintage home and there were a lot of unexpected surprises in terms of defects and hinderances that cropped up along the way. Cornelio took these on admirably as a challenge, always ensuring that quality remains the main factor. The end result included a beautifully designed kitchen with a pass-through to the dining room, new wood floor, installation of new appliances, tiling and lighting. We are grateful to Cornelio and recommend he and his company to those who may be considering remodeling work.

CRG and Cornelio (the owner) get our highest recommendation. We contracted with CRG Remodeling in May 2019 for a kitchen and powder room remodel in Washington DC, and ended up doing much more, including LR/DR/hallway painting, plumbing fixes, and an office remodel. We found Cornelio to be honest, highly efficient, professional, responsive, can-do and flexible. He is easy to communicate with, punctual, skillful, and knowledgeable. The team fixed problems as needed and any additional work was priced fairly. He has an excellent crew which was capable of doing most of the work (floor sanding was done by others). CRG Remodeling is well run and a good value. We cannot say enough good things about Cornelio and his crew and would definitely hire CRG Remodeling for any future jobs.

Very well. We had some minor communications issues, but any issues arising where quickly and professionally corrected. The quality of the finishing and attention to detail were excellent.

Very professionally handled. The quality of CRG's workers was excellent. They did all electrical and plumbing as well as installation of kitchen and baths. The work site was clean and neat at all times -- clean up at the end of every work day was exceptional. Neither Mr. Garcia nor his workers ever balked at extra request and/or changes made as we went along with the renovation. Mr. Garcia worked beautifully with our kitchen designer and followed up with any issues as needed. Communication with us throughout the process was excellent. We would highly recommend him to anyone and happy to provide references

After meeting with a few contractors, I decided to hire Cornelio and team at CRG remodeling for a bathroom remodel in my condo, in downtown Washington DC... and I'm thrilled with the result. CRG Remodeling is fantastic! They showed up on time every morning, worked hard all day, coordinated services around our loading dock and building rules, and cleaned up every night. Living through a remodel is never fun, but CRG made it as easy as possible. Cornelio even offered suggestions at various decision points which were incredibly helpful. I will absolutely hire them again for my next project.

Great! Cornelio and his team were on time, cleanly, good work, and worked well with my designer and inspector for a great finished product. He completely gutted an old kitchen and half bath and rebuilt that part of the house as well as installing a small deck off the kitchen. This included electrical, plumbing, structural, insulation etc. He installed cabinets, added decorative elements like beams, floating shelves and a rounded arch. He also added a master bath, that was also of great quality. After this major job, I hired him to do a 'face lift' of my existing bathroom as it looked dingy next to the new work he had done - this work also turned out great and freshened up a very old space.

CRG was great! We originally hired Cornelio & crew to redo our master bathroom, as their quote was extremely reasonable. When they removed the drywall in the bathroom, they found a great deal of water damage and structural problems. Cornelio walked us through the issues, and then gave us another reasonable quote to repair the problems. He initially quoted three weeks to finish the bathroom, which ended up being five and a half weeks due to the structural issues. The crew started on time every day and finished on time every day. All of the workers were very courteous and everyone did a great job of answering all of my questions. Cornelio was on site every morning and walked us through what was going to happen that day. When we had minor issues, they were fixed immediately, and when we had a few add-ons, Cornelio gave us a prompt (reasonable) quote and incorporated the changes into the contract. Ultimately, we now have a structurally sound house, and a beautiful new bathroom.

Cornelio and team did a great job understanding what we wanted and getting it done well. They worked with us to solve all the surprises, and kept the project on track. The budget was reasonable and even our architect was impressed with the quality work. We're most grateful for how well the crew cleaned up at the end of each day.

Our kitchen renovation with CRG Remodeling was a joyful and delightful experience. Honestly. Cornelio's professionalism, knowledge, accuracy and insight are highlighted by his warm, caring personality and desire to please. When have you ever heard that about a contractor? We have lived in this house for almost 40 years so this kitchen renovation has been long desired. We had a basic layout plan, but Cornelio patiently advised us when we made the inevitable tweaks (some of which were considerable). Cornelio's suggestion for cabinetry, (which was, of course, a big ticket item), was perfect for our 1950s knotty pine kitchen/living area. Rather than installing tile, he suggested we extend our barn board wooden floor into the new area to keep it uniform. We were worried it wouldn't look right with a different wooden pattern but agreed to put an edge separator if needed. The floor installation team came and perfectly matched the 60 year old floor! Cornelio improved our vision with his suggestions and gave us a kitchen we never dreamed could look so good. His crew worked 6 days a week; they were consistent, prompt and thorough. They never complained or refused a request, even when I had a change of heart over a plumbing arrangement that had already been completed. Our house is small. When the crew was here, we had to work around each other at times. The men were all so respectful, polite and caring. They were diligent about trying to keep down the level of dust and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every day. His guys didn't blink at the prospect of replacing numerous exterior support logs (we live in a log house), that had dry rotted. They had to refashion pine logs my husband had harvested from a farm years ago for this purpose. When Cornelio saw the logs, he said: "No problem. We will make them work." Cornelio said this many times throughout the process, with each new request I made. And things always "worked out." After the crew repaired the extensive dry rot damage to the exterior of our house, I came home and found they had stained/painted, not just the area that was repaired, but the entire back of the house! When I asked Cornelio how much more it would cost, he said, "No extra cost. It had to be done to look right." This was their habit in all that they did. They did it, "right." Cornelio's work ethic influences each member of his crew. These men are efficient, trustworthy and professional. We had a lapse in time for the installation of our soapstone counters, which we had previously contracted separately. Cornelio's guys perfectly prepared the cabinets for the counter installation crew and it all went seamlessly. They returned to finish the job and completed every one of our detailed requests in two days! I highly recommend CRG Remodeling for any of your renovation needs. We've already asked Cornelio for an estimate to redo our basement. We know we have found our contractor for life!

Cornelio and his team are wonderful. Cornelio was very accommodating about working within a tight budget. The team started exactly as promised and completed the job on time, and essentially on budget. The crew was very neat throughout the project. They abided by my building's rather strict rules. They had to break through the floor to replace it -- with none of us sure of what would be underneath. They did all of this carefully and without incident. The completed workmanship is great. I love how everything looks. Even after the project was complete, they returned to make a few adjustments. I loved working with them.

Every step of the project was completed on time and within budget. They kept the work area clean and neat, were quick to answer my questions, handle some snags with materials and deliveries, and to make suggestions. CRG Remodeling and Cornelio made this project as stress-free as possible. CRG Remodeling is a great group and I recommend working with them without reservation.

Cornelio was great. He was very responsive (in contrast to every other contractor I’ve worked with), punctual, and offered a rate lower than other quotes. He and his team worked quickly and professionally. They finished on time to accommodate my schedule, and Cornelio was willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything went well. I’d absolutely recommend him and hope to hire him again if other projects come up.

Cornelio and his team did an outstanding job. From the beginning, Cornelio was professional, reasonable, and easy to work with. I stopped by the house almost every day during the 10 week process. Each time, I was impressed by how Cornelio did not take any shortcuts, but rather, made sure everything was done right. The pictures show that the final product turned out very well, but they don't show the craftsmanship behind the walls. Everything was inspected and passed the first time. The electrical and plumbing rough-ins were clean, the framing was professional, and the disruption was minimal. Highly recommend.

Cornelio and his crew did fantastic work, and we really loved the guys that were working on our house. They were so kind and really took pride in their work. They came on time every day, were respectful, cleaned up the work area, and hauled away the debris as promised. The quality of the work was top notch and they made sure that the finished product was perfect. I think that they are a little too busy with just Cornelio managing the projects (which is understandable since they do such good work at a fair price). However, many times communication with Cornelio took a longer than I preferred and there were also some miscommunication. The project also ran longer than estimated, but that also ended up okay with because we'd rather ensure that things were done well with care. We absolutely would trust Cornelio and his crew for any job at our house!
