"Top notch service. They arrived at the scheduled time, properly diagnosed the issue with my fire place and corrected the problem where two other contractors were unsuccessful! They were respectful to my house by putting down drop cloths and cleaning up the work area after completing the job."

"It went very well. Dan and Dennis were fun and professional and a joy to have in the house. They kept the house clean and double checked before they left. We can now use our fireplace without the unpleasant smoke smell that accompanied having a fire. The draw is excellent now and the smoke guard undoubtedly helped!"

Customers say: True professional
"Wow! Amazing service. I must've called 8 different places in a panic trying to get the brick mounts which hold the mantel removed from my old fireplace so the surface could be prepped for a new TV. Seemed like an easy task (I thought), but it was a little more meticulous than I thought. I called this team and they arrived same day! Incredible customer service and expertise. Not only did they return the day after providing an estimate and remove the brick mounts, they actually re-fabricated the brick to make the holes disappear! This team knows their stuff!! I was so impressed that in the Spring I'd like them to come and do some masonry work for me. Highly recommend. They really are committed to doing good work and meeting the needs of their customer Special thanks for seeing to my issue before my TV install. We are ready for the Superbowl!!"

"Mottern did an exceptional job on our project and we are absolutely delighted with the results. I highly recommend them for any masonry work you may be considering. From our initial meeting with the estimator (Jeff), working project logistics with the back office (Guy), to the actual installation and working with the crew; the entire process went very smoothly. Mottern’s team is very professional and polite; they worked collaboratively with us to achieve our vision. We were very impressed with the skill, craftsmanship, and attention to detail demonstrated by the installation team; truly first rate. Our project consisted of upgrading the look of our front stoop, replacing and changing the layout of the main entrance walkway, and adding a curved gardening wall at the corner of the house. After speaking with Jeff about our design ideas and options, we selected Pennsylvania blue stone for the stoop and walkway and a weather face stone for the garden wall. During installation, Mottern worked with us as we made adjustments to our initial design and pattern so that in end, our project turned out even better than we initially envisioned."

"From the initial estimate in December 2018 to the work being done in March 2019, this company was professional, prompt, and did quality work. They provided a very competitive estimate. And though I did not contact them to schedule the work for three months due to the federal govt. shutdown, they honored the estimate without question. Ryan and Caryl kept me informed as to when they could do the work. Their crew showed up promptly on each of the three days it took to rebuild my chimney, replace the terra-cotta liners, and install a new crown. They matched the existing brick almost perfectly. Finally, at no additional cost, at my request they even reinstalled a bath vent cover way up high on my home, which was not part of the scheduled work. Very pleased with the company and would highly recommend them for chimney work."

"I had a house fire and the fire department damaged the panel while putting out the fire. In one day Beacon got a permit pulled, new panel installed, and power restored to the house so my pipes wouldn't freehand repair work could be started. Great company."

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
