Everything was done quickly, neighbors didn't complain about noise or whatnot, the place was left clean, and nothing was damaged along the way, and the result is great. Communication was very easy and on the point. I am very pleased with SM Constructions and would gladly recommend them for any job."

"2 of 997 Urgent: Project Management Issues & Pending Renovation Work We are experiencing significant project management issues that have caused unnecessary delays and frustration.Their quality of work is good but project management sucks big time,. We started our bathroom rennovations on Nov 29th 2024 the project wsda supposed to be completed in 5 weeks now it is almost 2 months and the master bathroom still needs to begin constreuction. We have had 3 project managers so far. However, despite multiple follow-ups over the past week via our text messaging group and several calls, we have yet to receive any updates on a variety of outstanding work in the loft and guest bathroom that need to be done. This lack of communication and progress is unacceptable. While we understand that Elkay is taking a break, the responsibility for keeping us informed and ensuring the project stays on track should not be neglected. We are not getting proper updates about stataus of several pending issues and we feel like we are being passed around without any clear resolution or accountability. The most pressing concern is the arrival of the bathtub, as all further work on the master bathroom is stalled until it arrives."

"They replaced my beaten wooden deck with a new composite one. The price was more than fair after shopping around. What I liked from the experience was the cleanliness and speed. Everything we agreed on they did in timely manner."

"In 2022, we had EMSI build an addition. In Jan we asked our kitchen contractor to check the mudroom flooring because it felt unstable. EMSI had tried to level the mudroom flooring using random pieces of plywood (see attached photos). Even worse is the job they did in our powder room connected to the mudroom. When the team pulled up the mudroom flooring to see the plywood they noticed some mold in powder room. The toilet in the powder room was installed incorrectly, had been leaking into the insulation for the last 2 years, and the insulation was full of mold. All of the mudroom insulation and flooring had to be replaced and the toilet reinstalled. I sent the photos to EMSI. No one responded. The EMSI team's shoddy construction put my kids' health and safety at risk. Worse, they don't seem to care as they have never responded to my emails. Do not work with this team under any circumstances."

The entire contract team was prompt, timely, conscientious, and meticulous. As messy as these projects can be, they kept our home clean and as dust free as possible. Edwin and Christian made great recommendations and steered us toward sound decisions throughout the project. They found us a beautiful slab of quartz for the vanity and bath surround that looks absolutely incredible. We could not be happier, would hire them again and highly recommend C & Brothers!"

We did not receive the approvals, they have started NO WORK, but refuse to return our $76K deposit that was my elderly parents only savings. We are now in legal suit with the builder. I would not recommend this builder as they make promises they can?t keep and are never responsive by email, phone or text. "
