Asphalt Shingle Roofing - Install or Replace
Requested a quote for a roof replacement. Max came onsite quickly and provided a very detailed bid. Then used very high pressure sales tactics, which, sadly, I succumbed to. I signed a contract that I hadn't meant to sign that day and I didn't fully understand the details in the contract at the time. The contract has clauses where once you are in, you are in for the whole thing with very little options to get out of the contract. From that point on dealing with Max was frustrating for me because I didn't want to talk to him. His quote was significantly off and then he even attempted to charge double for services had I not called him out on the details of the contract. Highly recommend avoiding this company. They ended up be significantly higher priced than any other quote that I got, but since I was locked in a contract, I wasn't able to get out of the deal.

NW Builders & Renovation gets my highest rating. Max M coordinated my roofing job and was very profession, personable, with great attention to detail. Max was willing to hear me, address my needs, and come up with best solutions. I also want to mention the crew. They did a wonderful job, they were respectful of my home, tidied up every day, left the job site very clean, and were also respectful of my neighbors. NW Builders is a company that stand behind their product and work. They show pride in their work from start to finish, and beyond. They offer quality products and workmanship with an exceptional outcome. My roof is beautiful. I'm confident it is installed to last. I am a very happy customer and I highly recommend NW Builders & Renovation.

Being one of the most stressful things someone has to pay for was actually very easy! NW Builders & Renovation was there everyday usually early and did an excellent job! My roof is more beautiful than I thought a roof could be! The project manager and workers were very professional and easy to work with. Both roof and fence project went off without a hitch! Thank you guys for making this process so much easier! Would totally recommend them to any projects that are needed on your home or yard, they do it all! Thank you again men for your hard work!

NW Builders & Renovation is the best that Portland has to offer. Tops in professionalism is Max, who was our point man for the roof project. He uses only the best materials, top of the line building and roofing materials make our job one that will last for a lifetime. I have confidence in Max, he was always there for any questions I had and when I had an unexpected disaster - a ceiling fell on me, he was right there, offering to come to my house and help me, in my hour of need, he was there. He finished the job with time to spare, and they did a thorough, excellent job. Now I have no fear of rainstorms making my roof leak, I can confidently decorate my home and know that the roof won't leak or fall in. Not only did they do a thorough and excellent job, they cleaned up all the mess that was left over after finishing. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely choose NW Buildlers & Renovation and Max. my favorite go to roofing guy.

NW Builders deliver on their promises. They get the job two days after I hired them. The job was done professionally to the amaze of neighbors and friends. Moses, the project manager was knowlegeable, communicative, and professional from the beginning to the completion of the project. Asphalt Shingle Roofing Repair
I was looking for someone to repair a leak where my patio cover met the wall of my garage. I had several estimates but chose this company because they were the only ones to "find" a soft spot in the rest of my roof that "needed" the plywood replaced. Their estimate was $1000 more than anyone else but I figured that was because of the soft spot repair. A $760 down payment was required to start the work. The contractors arrived, proceeded with the work, told me the soft spot was fine and didn't need to be replaced, and finished the next day. Nobody came to inspect the contractors work to make sure all was done. When the bill arrived, I went up to check the work and noticed that not everything was done and it still leaked. I sent a text message to the company. No response. I sent an email the next day and their representative came to my house and confirmed that not all the work was done and they would send the contractors out again,...but it would required another down payment of $1140 this time, even though it wasn't my fault their contractors didn't finish the job. The contractor showed up unexpectedly a week later; nobody had told me they would be arriving that day, and finished the job. The company only took $105 off the final invoice for not needing to repair the soft spot. I could've saved $1000 with someone else and probably had an easier time of it. FYI, this company only guarantees their repair work for 30 days. EDIT 04/24/2023: was offered a $500 refund to remove my reviews or change them to 5 stars. I canâ t figure out how to remove this one so I changed it to 5 stars. I need the cash to find someone else to fix the leak.

Deck or Porch - Repair
Dealing with Jeremy has been a painful experience. He was very quick to collect his deposit to book but slow to give us a time work would start. When work did start, the people simply showed up without any notice. Jeremy was there to get the money needed to start the job but communication has been almost non existent and full of excuses. The quality of the work was so poor we called him to take a look. He agreed and he assured us it would be fixed. People come for a couple of hours. Do not fix any issues and I mean it is really really terrible (really terrible) quality. Called again and he ensured us he would make it right. Today (several weeks later) someone showed up to do one of the many outstanding repairs I suppose, without any notice they were coming. I have not looked at the quality of what they did repair but they have left everything else looking terrible. Going on two months into a job that would take max 2-3 days including paint and my front porch still looks like crap. I will not use them again, for anything.

James and his team evaluated my roof, discovered the problem, and fixed it. In addition, he informed me on potential repair locations. I had been attempting to have my roof fixed but had received no response from other contractors. I'm very glad I chose NW Builders, and I recommend them to anybody in need of roof repair.

James is a consummate professional who is constantly concerned about his customers' requirements. At our request, he came in on a Sunday and detailed the full window installation procedure to us.
