"What i noticed first off was the peace of mind. Rightway Electric assured me they would take care of the problem and they did!! Expertise in their craft Hospitality, timely, detailed Customer satisfaction Awesome team work! I could go on. I am totally satisfied with this company. They saw me thru several days without electricity. It was disconnected on a Monday @7:30a and re- connected Thursday between 7-9a. During this time Right way Electric, furnished generators, and left a team member to be here when the electric company showed up. A phenominal, young man, expert in his knowledge. Courteous and respectful young man. If I could give more stars, i would."

"Very professional. Took as much time as needed to answer questions. Very good attention to detail. Even though a few more rods were needed than originally quoted, they stuck to their original quote price. No surprises. I would highly recommend this company."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Tyler, choose THWN-2 wire for damp or outdoor locations and Romex NM-B for dry indoor spaces. For underground wiring, use UF-B cable in PVC conduit to protect against moisture and soil movement. Weatherproof outlet covers and corrosion-resistant panels are essential for outdoor installations. Select hardware rated for high humidity and ensure all materials meet local electrical code requirements for long-term durability and safety.

Helpful?

Tyler’s humid subtropical climate means moisture can affect electrical systems, so using water-resistant wiring and weather-sealed junction boxes is crucial. High temperatures require well-ventilated electrical panels to prevent overheating. Frequent storms make whole-home surge protection and lightning arrestors important. For outdoor electrical work, choose UV-resistant conduit and ensure all exterior outlets are elevated to prevent water intrusion during heavy rain or flooding.

Helpful?

In Tyler, electrical projects can uncover hidden costs such as required permit and inspection fees, especially if code corrections or re-inspections are needed. Homes with outdated wiring often need full rewiring or electrical panel upgrades to ensure electrical safety. Tree roots or shifting soil may damage underground wiring, requiring repairs. Upgrading utility connections or adding dedicated circuits for modern appliances can also increase project scope unexpectedly.

Helpful?

For families in Tyler, prioritize tamper-resistant outlets and install GFCI and AFCI protection in living areas and kitchens to reduce shock risks. Use childproof outlet covers and secure cords out of reach. For pet safety, conceal outdoor wiring in conduit and use weather-resistant covers. Consider upgrading to smart outlets that can be remotely disabled, and ensure all outlets are properly grounded to meet local electrical safety standards.

Helpful?

In Tyler, warning signs include missing GFCI or AFCI protection, outdated or brittle wiring, and electrical panels with a history of safety issues. Frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or outlets that feel warm signal potential hazards. Look for exposed wiring, unprotected splices, or evidence of water or pest damage. If your home struggles to support modern appliances, it may be time for wiring upgrades or a new electrical panel.
