"Brandon and his team were extremely professional and did a great job. I really appreciated the time Brandon and the crew leader spent reviewing the project with my husband and I before the work started.
the Novation team worked efficiently and took care not to damage existing plants,  lawn and sidewalk. They even took care when placing the river rock on the driveway. And to top it off, they cleaned up after themselves even though it was in the dark.
I've already recommended the Novation team to my parents for any future projects they may have. And I look forward to working with them again.

"JR is a combination of professional craftsman and "artist". He built a beautiful 8ft cedar, board-on-board, stained fence with an automatic gate for me. He added creative touches to the gate which was the cherry on top. He is meticulous in his attention to details, and completely accommodating to my ideas for the fence, the grounds, and the gate. I plan to use Greenville Gate again to do some repairs on a fence at another house, and have already recommended him to one of my close friends."

"Martinez Concrete Construction knocked it out of the park. They fixed a drainage/runoff issue we’d been dealing with by properly diverting the water, and they rebuilt our deck stairs to make them safe and easy for my elderly mother to use. The quality of their work speaks for itself, and their pricing was more than fair. If you’re looking for solid, reliable concrete work, these are your people. I’ll definitely be using them again."

"Paul Peery called immediately when I posted the project and was very courteous. He came out timely to give me an estimate at a fair price. The day the work was done, he came out with the men to make sure they understood what was expected and answered all my questions. The work was done efficiently and I’m am extremely happy with the result. Paul called later to make sure I was happy with the work. I highly recommend them!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

In Tyler, asphalt paving projects must prioritize function, especially drainage management to handle heavy rainfall and clay soil. The design must also resist 100°F+ summer heat. Aesthetically, these needs are balanced with layouts that complement your home, match neighborhood styles, and work around mature East Texas oak and pine trees. You can also choose different textures or colored sealers for a custom look.

Helpful?

You can safely handle minor asphalt paving issues in Tyler by filling cracks under 1/4 inch wide with filler during moderate spring or fall weather. Regularly sweep away pine needles and debris. For safety, avoid working during extreme 100°F+ summer days. Call a professional for significant settling due to clay soil movement, large cracks, or any standing water issues that indicate a drainage problem.

Helpful?

When hiring asphalt paving professionals in Tyler, look for contractors experienced with local clay soils and drainage issues. Ask for proof of insurance and examples of recent projects in the area. Reliable pros provide detailed written estimates, offer clear warranties, and schedule work during optimal weather. Avoid door-to-door offers and unusually low bids, as these can signal poor quality or lack of local expertise.

Helpful?

After completing asphalt paving in Tyler, avoid heavy traffic for 24-48 hours to allow proper curing in the humid climate. Wait 6-12 months before the first sealcoat application, ideally before the summer heat arrives. Monitor for settlement cracks caused by expansive clay soils and inspect drainage after heavy rains. Regular sealcoating every 2-3 years is recommended to protect against intense TX sun exposure.

Helpful?

In Tyler, asphalt paving starts with strong base prep and sealcoating soon after installation. Over the next 5-10 years, you’ll likely need crack sealing and edge repairs as soil shifts and roots grow. Midway through its lifespan, patching or resurfacing may be needed, especially in high-traffic or shaded areas. After 15-20 years, full replacement is common, allowing for improved drainage and updated layouts.
