"On April 15 the temperature fell from upper 60s to freezing. For some reason our bedroom heating unit has a problem in turning on the furnace if there is a sudden drop in temperature/pressure. Usually shutting it down and restarting solves the issue. Not this time though. We spent the night in living area were the other unit was working. In the morning I called couple of places and Select AC was the only provider to call back promptly. (This is a consistent indicator of good service. Any provider who returns your call promptly invariably ends up providing good service. ) . One of the other service providers  I called said they were taking appointments for "next friday" which was 10 days later. I appreciate the fact that they are so busy that they could not handle the volume but to suggest someone requesting a repair that they had to wait 10 days is downright silly.  In any case,  Billy (I hope I got the name right) from Select AC called me promptly and said he will look at the issue and take care of it the same day. During the day we exchanged calls to get a rough idea about the time he will come over. Billy outlined his schedule for the day and we figured he can make it more or less in the evening after 3pm. In the evening I drove back from work early to be at home at the time of service. I decided to give one more try and tried to turn on the heat. Voila! The furnace turned on without any issue. I didn't cancel the appointment as I wanted Select AC to check out the system as we did not want to get stranded again on a cold night. 
Billy was professional and courteous. He checked the systems in attic and mentioned everything was working fine. The flame sensor had carbon build up so he cleaned it. He gave some pointers for future reference and we will definitely keep that in mind if the issue arises again. I paid a total of $100 which included the service fee and Angies list discount. I felt it was an excellent price for service offered. If only all service providers provided such honest estimates and charges. We will definitely use Select AC again and recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

"Aire Serve Lake Worth TX did a phenomenal job servicing our gas furnace during the freeze 1/26/26. I called at 9am Monday and scheduled an appointment for between 10am and 2pm. They notified me when tech was in route and arrived at 10am. Tech Chandler Smith was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with. After some troubleshooting, he was able to restore the system and get us the much-needed heat turned back on. I absolutely recommend their service. From my initial call to their office to the closing of the service call was impressive."

At first I thought i just needed Freon , then thought it was a bad capacitor, come to find out I needed a whole new outside unit. The price was on the higher end of the spectrum when I googled comparable pricing, however the customer service I received was excellent. All care was kept in keeping my home, inside and outside, clean and tidy. Ron was prompt and pleasant to work with. They work on Sundays, and came out immediately when I called with my air troubles. "This Guy is a real pro at what he does! I don't have enough words to express my appreciation with the Job he did in my attic with the air conditioning ducts. Besides being an excellent air conditioning pro he is pleasant and honest. I had interviewed 3 other companies for the Job and I decided to go with him. The minute He went in the attic he asked me all the right questions. Questions to better replace the ducts in my two story condominium. since the air condition unit is in the first floor he needed to find the ducts on the walls in the second floor and figure out where they where. There was a duct that went to my kitchen that has never worked. He figured out that the duct came up the wall trough one of the closets. He opened a small hole on the sheet rock and fished out the duct and connected it with the other one in the attic .My home is actually cool for the first time since I moved in and I have and air condition kitchen."

"Air conditioning stopped working on a Wednesday. David sent out a technician that afternoon to confirm the compressor was bad. The next day a crew of 3 came out in late afternoon and installed a new A/C unit (old one was 28 yo) and a new furnace (old one was 30 yo). I stuck with RUUD/Rheem due to good experiences. The crew was efficient (3 hours to do both installs), the A/C is working great with cooler air and more forceful blowing, and they briefly checked the furnace operation also. My old unit was a 10 SEER operating probably at a 7 efficiency lately and my new unit is a 14.3 SEER. I found everyone polite from the owner to the workers, addressed my needs, and answered my questions. I still use my old thermostat which is Honeywell programmable while the one they gave me was Honeywell non-programmable. And BTW, David said I probably would raise my thermostat a degree or so with the new unit, and I did without any loss of comfort. Finally, the price was the best I found."
