"A-1 performed a foundation repair on my home 8 years ago. Over the past month we have made at least 20 attempts to contact them via phone and email to perform a warranty check on the prior repair work as we prepare to sell our home. After we were finally able to get a visit scheduled, they did not show up for the appointment and gave no notice. Multiple attempts to contact them since have gotten no response. The sale of our home is contingent upon this check and we are now 2 days from a closing deadline with nothing to show. I've heard of foundation companies being dodgy when it comes to actually honoring warranties, and it seems that A-1 has no interest in following through. I do not recommend working with this company"

"Cathy at Fortress is amazing. Their customer service is unmatched. We had 6 companies come out and look at our house. Several had different reports of how many piers we needed. We hired an engineer and found out we needed 28 new piers and 14 existing piers that needed to be adjusted. Cathy came and explained what was needed, what was happening with our foundation and how they would go about repairing it and answered all of our questions. She was friendly, thorough, and honest. I reached out many times before the work was scheduled and asked many more follow up questions and she would respond promptly. What sets them apart from all the other foundation companies in the area: Excellent customer service and communication Lifetime warranty that stays with the house and not the owner which would involve transfer fees While they didn't adjust our existing piers done by another company (it was determined that it was not possible/not necessarily needed at this time), if they had, they would have taken over and included those in the lifetime warranty - this was a huge perk which no one else does that we were able to find. We wanted to make sure we don't have future foundation problems, so they not only put in 28 steel piers, they tied in all of our 8 downspouts underground to make sure we never have drainage issues. As the work was coming to an end, the new piers lifted our garage about 6+ inches above the sinking, cracked driveway. So we hired them to give us a new concrete driveway and it is beautiful! They were able to squeeze that in right at the end of the other work. Cathy, Victor and the crew were all fantastic. Always on time, always cleaning up after the day's work. Cathy and Victor would explain where we were at and what to expect next each day. I can't say enough good things about this company and their team. Hire Fortress Foundation, you will be glad you did!"

Dalworth Restoration is a water damage restoration and fire damage restoration repair company. Our company always maintains industry standards and works closely with insurance companies to make sure those standards are met. Dalworth offers 24 Hr emergency response and services for commercial and residential properties throughout Dallas Fort Worth and surrounding areas. Our high level of customer service and knowledge for the restoration industry sets us apart from our competition. For a free estimate give us a call! After certain hours there is a mandatory service call charge of $165. This charge is waived for Angie’s List members.
"Dalworth made me feel confident when choosing them as I had three other contractors come out, however, the service I have received was poor. I was assured there would be someone there overseeing the project to make sure it was done correctly, that did not happen. We had several issues arise during the completion of the project. The most egregious of all was trying to pass off a house without reinstalling the insulation on the exterior walls. Work began in the beginning of January, and I was told twice the house was completed. The first time was on March 23rd. Due to the work I've seen from the contractors thus far, I wanted to verify that insulation was used. I checked four different locations where insulation was supposed to be installed and it wasn't. If I had not taken the time to verify this, they would have gotten away with it. The second time I was told the house was completed (April 18) after they installed the insulation, I wanted to go over the scope of work. I noticed I was being charged for a vapor barrier for the flooring. I wanted to verify and asked, they told me it was installed. I decided to verify because they also said they installed my insulation, and of course, they did not install it. I am sure if I didn’t check to see if it was used, they would have still charged me for it because initially they said they did use it. If you have had work done by Dalworth, I would highly suggest taking a closer look. I would not recommend this company to anyone after my experience. They also left my house in a mess. For some reason, they opened bedroom doors that were not being worked on and got drywall dust everywhere. Save yourself a headache and choose a different company other than Dalworth."
