They did fine, I felt really comfortable working with them, they sent 3 people to work on the water heater and did the plumbing as well, I will be using them again in the future,

Do NOT hire this company. This company does not stand by their workmanship. I had a drip irrigation system installed, and from the get-go, there were issues - I even have documented proof of improper installation. For the past four months, I have been trying to get hold of the owner or the owner's son and they will not return emails or phone calls. Terrible after-service customer support. Will never recommend this company!

Overall the experience was very good and I would use Du-West again if we should need additional foundation work; however, I was disappointed they didn't use shoe coverings when they exited the crawl space and tracked gritty dirt on the floors - including our hardwoods!

They did a great job and were very thorough. I would highly recommend them.

The person doing the piles was very good and knew what he was doing. I can say nothing positive about the rest of the crew. The and quot;supervisorand quot; was absolute worthless. He walked around with a phone in his ear all day doing nothing in terms or work. He just let us know multiple times that he was the supervisor.
Clean-up was a total disaster.. No care was given in the removal nor replacement of plants. Beds were left a mess.After our call, Jim Dutton did come out and admitted things were a mess. He sent two people to clean up the mess and replace the compost. Those two people were hard workers, but did not even have a wheel barrow to use! Plus, we had to have our yard service remove the compost they put down as it was the cheapest you can buy and nothing close to what we had.
All in all, we do not have positive feelings about this company. AND we have a crack in the inside wall right where they did their work!

They were punctual both in response to my request for information as well as any appointments to discuss the situation. They were professional when they showed up and did exactly what they said they would do.

They were awesome. The people were very pleasant and honest which really sticks out to me. I was very happy with them.

I was less than impressed. They did their job, but when they replanted one of my bushes, it died. There was an area on the front walkway that we had to clean up afterwards. The sprinkler system didn't work properly afterword. They had to come back out a few times. I might use them again.

Overall the experience was great. Du-West is honest and does not try to sell you more then you need. '
Do get estimates from several companies.

They have an experienced crew and the foreman speaks english and explains what they are doing as it happens.
Do have plently of iced water and gatorade available.

We are now two months after the job completion and have encountered no problems.

The work was done with minimal disruption to the yard. Workers were prompt, polite and considerate.

At the time we moved in, our home was level. But over several years, the back half of the home sank a little bit lower each year. It went from level to being down about 5.5" in some areas. - We had no less than 6 interior doors which couldn't be closed anymore. - Cracks showed up in the drywall, some you could put your hand into. - Cracks showed up in the external brick, and frames of windows separated from their surrounding installation. - The back porch roof dropped and separated from its attachment points on eves of the house. - Drawers in one cabinet would slide open on their own due to the slope of the floor. We started talking to folks about repairs around 2005-2006. Over the next few years, we spoke with many potential contractors. The general feeling we got after speaking with these many folks was that the repair would be rather involved. But, even after all this time, and much worry on our part, one company was very, very patient with us, and visited us no less than three times over the years to discuss our options. This company was Du-West. They came out, and each time they did, they patiently mapped out the contour changes in the foundation, and then sat down with us to discuss our options. We selected their pre-cast concrete pilings with rebar down the center. One big item for us was that we did not want to move out of the home during the repair, and Du-West was able to accommodate our request through the use of their tunnelling process. Another big item for us, which no one knew until AFTER the repair work was underway, was that our home had no cross-beams in the foundation! When they began the repair, and tunnelled under the home to place some of the required interior piers, they discovered our foundation had been poured with only a perimeter grade beam, and no cross-beams. Luckily for us, they were prepared for this, and inserted 4-foot steel beams on top of the appropriate piers to distribute the load. After they were done with all the digging and tunnelling and placing the new piers, the crew leveled the house all at once. (At least, it seemed that way.) There was a crew member in each of the holes with each of the piers, and they all had jacks they used to raise the house according to the directions of the supervisor. They leveled the entire back half of our home, with the supervisor checking in with us during the process to discuss any concerns we had. The supervisor was Dwain, and the foreman was Fernando. We think they and their crew did an excellent job. The engineer Du-West employed was Jim. All our doors close now (hooray!), some of the cracks have closed up completely, and we enjoyed running around the house checking various spots with our own simple level to see the bubble neatly between the black lines. The drawers no longer slide out on their own from the cabinet which was on the slope. All of our iron plumbing survived with not a break through the entire process. Some of the sprinkler system next to the foundation was dug through, but they fixed that for us. Finally, as a foundation customer, they also offered to re-pour our back concrete patio which had not fared very well through the years, either. We decided to take them up on this extra offer. We wanted to save the porch roof, and we thought if they re-poured the patio, then the porch roof would most certainly have to come down first. This was not the case. The Du-West crew suspended the porch roof over the new concrete (Whoa! We didn't know that could be done!), and later installed new support timbers, too, after the concrete had set enough. All yard dirt was either put back or removed from the yard after all was said and done. (They were careful to leave a void under the house so the black clay can't swell and lift the house off the new piers during a rainy season.) We are very happy with the work!
