Used them 10 years ago and were fine. This was a very poor experience. I would have had them remove the products that didn't work as advertised, but i didn't want them in my home again. I would never use them again. Just awful

They advice, and had all our questions answered on sensible and affordable options. Very knowledgeable, prompt, polite, efficient, and thorough team! We are happy with their waterproofing services in our basement (fast sump pump and a grate trench with a discharge line that goes 15 feet to the outside bubbler) as well as crawl space shield installed under our addition. It works well, and Pioneer checked a month later and a year after for inspection and cleaning. A+ work and workers.

The job was done very thoroughly. The team came in and did a great job in my crawl space and the products they used seem very high grade. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves nicely. Very professional and did the job that was asked without any problems.

The guys were great: they assessed the situation and made sure the sump pump was working properly. They also gave me their marketing materials for a more elaborate and efficient sump pump system than the one I have, which I might consider getting. They were friendly and very professional. I now have peace of mind about my sump pump and I am very happy about that. The one little glitch in the whole experience was that they removed the tubing from the basement washer spigot in order to connect their own tubing to flush out the sump pump hose, and then neglected to replace the washer tubing to the spigot. Apparently there was a previously unknown leak at that spigot which caused a 15 x 4 foot flood in the basement which I didn't notice until the next day. I cleaned up the flood and had my plumber to fix the leak. So, all is now well.

It went well. They are being professional in their follow-up as they are trying to have us install an expensive basement drainage/pumping system. We haven't decided yet, as it will be part of our basement gut/rehab project.

They analyzed my situation, did the installations, and installed a dehumidfier. Very professional. Very punctual. Reasonable prices. High quality work as far as I can tell.

Wow! Unbelievable! If we ever have a water problem again, Pioneer will be the only waterproofing company that we call. We were getting some water in our basement which has a stack-stone foundation and radiant floor heating. We interviewed three companies and were particularly concerned about a solution that would stop the water without compromising the radiant tubes that were in the floor. Initially, Pioneer recommended a baseboard system that would run along the outside of the wall. Upon inspection, Mike Oliveira discussed a traditional drain to sump pump solution. We reiterated our concern about puncturing a tube in the floor and Mike assured us that he and his team would hand chisel potential problem areas to avoid the tubing. Moreover, this solution would save us roughly $2K and give us a lifetime guarantee vs. a 25 year guarantee on the baseboard system. The team showed up on time, cleared a 50' span of concrete by Noon, uncovered two sections of radiant tubing without puncturing the line, installed the moisture barrier, sump pump and new concrete by 4 p.m. They had to drill through a hefty header board to connect the pump line to an existing drainage line that carries water away from home and that was completed by 5:30 p.m. Mike came back in a week and we tested the fix using free-flow from our sprinkler system -- it worked perfectly. Subsequently we've had some consistent spring rain and absolutely no water in the basement. The team (including sales, service, billing, installation) was professional, courteous and available when we had questions. They saved us money, fixed our problem and provided a lifetime guarantee. We're both ecstatic and amazed!

They did a very good job. They were very professional. Tim was their service manager and he was awesome. He listened to what I had to say and was very receptive. He even extended the service contract because it took longer than expected. I would highly recommend this company.

Good Parts: Prompt sales and installation. Bad Parts: 1. Pioneer did not install a check valve in the discharge line, which was required according to the manufacturer's installation instruction. The water back-flow filled the sump, causing the the pump to run continuously. I added the check valve myself. 2. The pump discharge pipe was attached directly to the floor joist without any isolation. The discharging water sound was amplified throughout the house. So loud that we could not sleep. I added isolation to the pipe. 3. The wiring and electrical cords were never finished off, which could have been easily disconnected or become a trip hazard. I ty-rapped the wiring and cables myself. 4. The dehumidifier (mfg Santa Fe) failed in the first year. Pioneer wanted to charge over $100.00 to look at the unit. I contacted the manufacturer directly, who replaced the unit at no charge. 5. The sump pump (mfg: Blue Angel Pumps) level switch failed. I contacted the manufacturer who replaced the level switch of another style at no cost. I had to adapt and install the level switch myself. 6. The sump pump installation instructions requires a GFI receptacle, which I did not have at the time of installation. Pioneer did not install one or inform me of this requirement. I had the GFI receptacle installed. Comment: The high failure rate of the equipment installed (two dehumidifiers and the sump pump level switch) along with the substandard workmanship rate Pioneer a pass. Both of the equipment manufacturers were terrific, promptly replacing their defective equipment without charging me.

"Thank You for your feedback. I am sorry you have experienced some problems. We installed the job in 2009 and have not been back since. It looks like we have tried to contact you many times by phone and postcard but have not heard back from you. You did call about the dehumidifier in 2012 but then cancelled a service appointment we had with you. I would love to help you but I need to be able to get a hold of your first. Please call my office at 1-800-649-6140 and ask for Mike Oliveira. I would be glad to address your concerns and see if I can help you. Look forward to hearing from you."

The project went great, from the first phone call to the end of the job. We were called a day before to confirm the arrival time, and the work crew arrived on schedule. It turned out they had some additional material from a previous job that day, so they actually repaired a bit more of the wall than had been agreed on, which we really appreciated. When we originally scheduled the job, we were given information on other services that Pioneer Basement provides, but at no time were we given any sales pitches. We're very confident that we picked the right firm to do our foundation repairs -- we'll definitely call them first for any similar work, and will recommend them to friends.

The team did wonderful job and carefully explained to me what to do with my outdated but still working sump pump. I was also educated on the rationale of using sump pump. (I am a woman ignorant of all these house gadgets!)
