"Thank you for the review and keep us in mind if you have any issues in the future."
"Thank you for your business and review keep us in mind for any projects In the future."
"We did call in advance as we said we would but no answer so since we’d promised to be there at a specific time we showed up as promised. Then discovered a addition that had a floor wood cupping across entire surface we then realized the entire floor needed to be removed upon your husbands approval we did what’s called a core sample to discover what the underlying problems would involve. At that time we discovered sub standard construction was the standard telling us the enclosure was obviously done without involvement of an inspection or permit being acquired from the city obviously when we discovered wall fiberglass laying on the old garage floor sopping wet with water we had advised your husband the entire floor as well as floor joists would have to be entirely removed and set out front for the city to pick up and haul to the dump. At that time we also advised him to employ a demo crew to do the removal at a reduced price. Major work could be done with cheaper laborers. Can’t say we’re really sorry for advising you to move in a direction that would obviously save you hundreds of dollars and your attitude and review tells us you just wanted to kill the messenger. Again just call them like we see them and sometimes we need to advise people information there not ready to hear. I’m also sure if the city of Mesquite was to get involved they would demand you to start from scratch because a permit was never pulled to start the enclosure not to mention the electrical and other construction that was done illegally. Won’t apologize for charging you a whole $145.00 for sharing all the news you obviously weren’t ready to hear either as we spent a few hours to spend and advise your husband which when he shared with us he had no money to start the project we charged a bare minimum for our time to come core sample and advise. Have to say we’re quite surprised with your most negative response to a true professional telling you the truth about what a piece of crap the supposed contractors had previously done years before we ever arrived at your location. Just hope the city doesn’t catch wind of what’s happened at your home in the past or they could legally force you to remove all of it and have a garage again. However it works out we wish you only the very best moving forward and if you heard anything in all of this you’d heed the good advice we shared with you and remove the entire floor joists and sopping wet insulation that would give a real contractor the latitude to do it properly but of coarse as your husband said there’s no money to fund the project at some point you’ll have to realize even if y’all do it yourself you will be hard pressed to do it with no money because it will literally cost you a few thousand just to provide the materials. Thanks for appreciation of our time and spending a whole $145 to get our best thinking actually regret ever seeing your project."
"Thank you for the good review and we will always be in your corner in the future."
"We are very thankful for your kind words. You will always be my second favorite teacher after my daughter"
"I as I recall ma’am I reached out to you several times to try to honor the coupon that was in the Austin area and tried to group you together with several other people at the same time. As you indicated we did show up a day prior to starting any work or charging you a dime to assess the situation. You conveyed to me some of the things you were concerned with for instance the major cracking in the driveway to the right of the garage as we pulled up was the first thing you noticed. We did get started the next day as agreed and you knew our start time via phone call. we did call you and tell you we were on the job and the time we actually started the clock. We took care of the priorities that you had said needed to be done first and had time to start a sample to show you an area of brick that had no cap on the top we did the area just to the right side of the garage and took it as far as the coupon would allow. However if You had read the fine print on the coupon it specifically states eight man hours so if there are three men on the job that’s 2.75 hours which we did by the time you got there. When you got there you indicated you wanted some additional things done we gave you a price what you agreed to before we finished that so we moved forward and did the additional work we and you gladly paid us I’m so sorry to hear that yourself like you were taken advantage of in anyway it certainly wasn’t our intention to cause you any hurt by the way the work we did does Carry as I said a five year warranty there was an additional 60 feet of wall that needed to be finished out to The brick we gave you a price as per bed you declined and we walked away I hope you can find a good Mason to finish up those repairs because of course for us to drive four hours one direction to get to your job before the time even starts were at a loss to ever do business with you again in addition to that you have added insult to injury by implying that we missed lead you in anyway which we did not. However you did imply the work we did looked good. It was as all our work excellent and can’t tell where those cracks even were. I thought we’d at least get an A from you because when you arrived the first thing you complimented us on was how good that particular area looked and you couldn’t even tell it had been patched. NEVER DO WE OR DO WE FORCE ADDITIONAL WORK FROM ANY CUSTOMER. You were treated with the same process we use with every customer. Bottom line our coupon gifts you the first $400 to get your project at your home started at 1/2 price. We can’t stay in business working whole jobs at 1/2 price of course as in your case we had hoped you’d appreciate the length 4 Hour drive to get there and the $400 we gifted you Via coupon. Of course there are always people like you that expect unrealistic expectations . We do however wish you all the best moving forward."
"Were very appreciative to have customers like you . That particular brick is very unusual and very hard to find. I will keep my eyes open when I’m out and if I happen to see any I’ll be sure t grab them for you because I noticed the wall out front will need some repairs before much longer. Thanks Cat and we’re here for you any time you need."
"Sorry for the sticker shock but keep in mind our repairs unlike traditional mortar repairs are permanent and will not need to be revisited in the future. The price is usually the problem that is why we offer a gift of $200 to $400 to help get the projects started now you have a substantial sample of our repairs and they will stand tall for years to come. We have them going back 20 + years and still looking great. Please keep us in mind for any future issues."
"Thank you for acknowledging us for trying make sure our team is on point. It’s hard to find good help that’s part of the reason after 30 years in the DFW area I still have a very small tightly knit crew. We try to the best at what we do and try to treat your home like ours. BTW keep in mind what I told you in our last conversation when I discovered your buying a new home. I will honor the whole house inspection for you free of charge once you have found one you’re serious about buying. Best regards,"
"We always aim to make our repairs not only stick, but look like we were never there to begin with. Please let us know if we can help out in any other way."
"We are happy to hear that our repairs were to your satisfaction. We look forward to working with you in the future."
"Let’s start with the consultation which you admit “was good” the reasoning behind us providing that part of the service is to identify issues your not aware of and show both source and result of issues then provide solutions. Which as I pointed out to you case by case. I’m aware you learned a few things in the 1 hour I was personally there. That’s why I was shocked at the tail end of this drama to hear you told my two Guy’s Terry’s time doesn’t count. Now let’s get down to the nuts and bolts of this. The crew was feverishly working on the job @ hand as I was explaining to you the findings of my inspection when I made you aware the job @ hand was going to exceed the coupon. How much we agreed $310. a verbal estimate you agreed you wanted the entire retaining wall. finished this was an estimate based on our regular rate which the Big Deal specifies in plain English. Out Big Deal is exactly that after Angie gets her cut out hourly rate is reduced to exactly $32.00 per hour. That is almost a 70% deduction we can’t afford to be in business @ that rate so this the additional money for additional work and materials normally helps the bottom line. Now let’s look at your job. The boys were on your job from 12:15 to 5:00 two guys that totaled 9.5 hours then the material charge of $100 total then the 1 hour I spent with you. My math is 10.5 hours 10.5 - 8 = 2.5 overage above the coupon @ $100 per hour that’s $250 + the additional material of $50 = the additional $310 we had originally agreed upon. So when you called me @ 5:00 and told me with an elevated voice you weren’t going to pay anything above the original coupon and my guy was trying to rip you off. I took the high road and understood you were thinking you were actually purchasing an additional coupon. Rather than argue with you and threaten you with a mechanic lien I said fine let’s move forward knowing our Big Deal rate just dropped to $23 per hour instead of having solace in that you’ve now added insult to injury by giving us a misleading review and actually D rated our price. UNBELIEVABLE however I will accept your apology if you offer one and remove this review. It would be nice if you could actually humble yourself and admit your hotheadedness and it was all a misunderstanding by paying the actual balance due. I don’t expect this to be the outcome because by nature it’s difficult to take the High Road."
"We are glad to hear that you were satisfied with our work and we always try to take care of our customers and that they get their money's worth. If you have any concerns with our work in the future or if you find any other problematic areas please keep us in mind."
"When we arrived at the job we originally gave you a bid for the wall at $3000 and even went as far as dropping it to $2600, you denied both offers and instead talked us into combining coupons at 12 man hours at less than half price something we never do and working the rest at our man hour rate. As stated in the fine print of our coupon, all hours are in man hours, so 2 people working for 2 hours is the equivalent of 4 hours. This was no simple job as we had to cut 185 bricks to fit properly, on top of this you added on additional work by having us remove bricks from the side of your home and replace them. When we went to invoice the job you had complaints about a worker mixing the mortar in a wheelbarrow which is all part of a job like this and when we left we made sure to leave your backyard clean. We have also uploaded pictures of both jobs to the storefront to show how involved a job like this is and how it is not a simple 4 hour job. I was blown away when we met and that you thought a four hour coupon would cover a job of this scale, it was one of the most unrealistic things that I have ever heard. We hope that the project itself was to your satisfaction."
"Thank you for your review. It always pains me to see someone taken advantage of with what I call sub standard construction. As I pointed out people like James Hardie have specific instruction on how Hardie Board is to be installed because they’ve done the math and saw what failing to follow specific instructions results are. Unfortunately most contractors don’t follow them because either they don’t know and are a novice or they flat out don’t care about doing the extra steps because it’s extra work and realize the homeowners don’t know the difference. This is only one of many materials on a home so as you can imagine there are hundreds of opportunities to be taken advantage of. Few things worse than throwing good money after bad so that’s the reason I didn’t charge you a consultation fee and won’t charge you if I need to meet with your previous contractors and school them on there craft. When one claims to be a homeowners advocate someone may need to back it up. Let us know if I need to show up with my boots on."
"We are glad to hear that we have solved your leak permanently. When you move to the DFW don’t forget to call us for a free home waterproofing inspection before you sign on the dotted line."
"It was a pleasure being able to solve your leak. Please keep us in mind for anymore rain leak issues you have."
"We are glad that our repairs were to your satisfaction and we have another big deal coming out in the near future so be sure to keep us in mind."
"Thank you for the review. Again thanks for giving us the opportunity to work out the root of the problem. Some are especially useful difficult to get but your patience was greatly appreciated. I guess if it was easy everyone would be doing it. Let us know if you need any further assistance."
"We are glad to hear that you have not had any further leaks in the area we worked on. Please keep us in mind for any further repairs you need."
