"FIVE STARS!! EMPWR is awesome please bring them your business. Eugene The owner just saved us so much money! Single mom here on a budget. My electricity went out and I tried to do my do diligence by checking the breaker but I missed something. The owner was kind enough to face time with me and saw the issue. He explained what I missed and then we had lights. Please call them for all your electrical needs. This was the most helpful honest company I've ever encountered."

"I had an electrical outlet installed on my brick fireplace so I could hang my TV up. I was quoted from another company $600 and would have the outlet box exposed from the brick. I used Enoch and it done for $150. Plug looks great! I'll use Enoch anytime I need electric work done."

"I had a few GFIC wiring out at my house while I was remodeling. I can do a few things around the house, but I do not want to mess with electricity. I contacted JGE and he came out and gave me a free estimate and was back within a few days. He replaced the wiring and got him to replace all the outlet covers while he was here. Everything is working fine. JGE is easy to work with, did good clean work. And theyâ re insured."

"Ken and his team rewired a studs up remodel in downtown Austin during Covid for us. They were flexible, competent and actually showed when they said they would. They even responded to random texts answering questions and taking on more work we had to force them to take money for...seriously he's amazing. In addition to a new panel, removing all old wiring and installing new wiring for the complete house, Ken ran lines and installed 12 POE cameras, ran fiber to an exterior junction, installed networked smoke/CO2 detectors, and installed about 20 pot lights in the ceilings. The house being from the 1950's and having random "quirks" with pinned down old wiring didn't bother Ken or his apprentice and I found them at the house a couple of Sundays making sure they got the work done. Seriously, it's almost like I want to tell random people at the coffee shop "hey you need an electrician? I know this company 'Morningstar Electric.....""

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Cedar Park, widespread flickering lights, frequent circuit breaker trips, or warm electrical outlets often point to electrical issues. If your HVAC system isn’t running, the cause could be electrical or mechanical. Power loss in certain rooms may also result from shifting foundations, a common concern in Cedar Park. For wiring or electrical panel problems, call an electrician; for HVAC or outdoor lighting, consult the appropriate specialist.

Helpful?

For minor electrical issues in Cedar Park, you can reset a tripped circuit breaker, test GFCI outlets monthly, and replace accessible switch or outlet covers if they’re cracked. Always shut off power at the breaker panel and use a voltage tester before touching any wiring. Avoid electrical work during thunderstorms, which are common locally. If you notice persistent breaker trips or burning odors, contact a Cedar Park electrician immediately.

Helpful?

In Cedar Park, habits like plugging multiple high-wattage devices into a single outlet, running extension cords under rugs, and ignoring buzzing sounds from outlets can all strain your electrical system. The local humidity and frequent garage use can accelerate corrosion in wiring and electrical panels. Skipping regular GFCI outlet tests or attempting repairs without proper permits can also lead to premature electrical failures in Cedar Park homes.

Helpful?

Cedar Park homeowners should start spring by inspecting outdoor outlets and pool wiring before storm season. Test GFCI outlets monthly in summer and check for storm-related damage. In fall, clean around the electrical panel and prepare extension cords for holiday lighting. Winter is ideal for a professional inspection and checking heating system wiring. Pay attention to areas prone to humidity and shifting soil, which are frequent in Cedar Park.

Helpful?

In Cedar Park, straightforward electrical tasks such as replacing outlets or installing light fixtures typically take 1–3 hours. More involved projects like adding a new circuit breaker or ceiling fan installation may require up to 8 hours. Whole-home rewiring often spans several days. Weather delays, especially during summer storms, and local permit processing can impact completion times, so it’s wise to account for these Cedar Park-specific factors.
