"Excellent and efficient execution on a four room carpet cleaning. This job was done remotely, but the owner and the cleaner coordinated well, sharing arrival time, before and after pictures etc. in a timely manner. Best part, a lot of food stains were removed making the carpet look fresh!"

"Joel and Amanda did an outstanding job. They were thorough, took their time, and were very professional. They removed and replaced all the screens, and let me know ahead of time that a screen was stuck in a way that it would get damaged if removed. My windows had not been cleaned in a while and they made sure to make them look as new as possible."

"Both Najee and his son were very punctual and friendly. They were very efficient, responsive and professional. My request for spot cleaning was accommodated and Najee was very knowledgeable on how to keep my carpets looking fresh longer. It was so nice to work with a company that cares for your needs instead of cost benefits. I would recommend Harper Carpet Care 110%. The whole experience from booking to final cleaning completion was a truly pleasant and stress free experience. If you haven’t done so, I would say pick Harper Carpet Care for your cleaning needs, they are so easy to work with at a very reasonable price."

Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use baking soda to clean your water dispenser. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with one quart of warm water, then use a sponge or cloth to wipe the solution on the inside and outside of the dispenser. For tougher stains and grime, you can also make a lightly abrasive paste of one part baking soda and one part water to gently scrub tougher areas. Then rinse the dispenser with water.

The best way to clean kitchen cabinets is to use a soft cloth soaked in warm water and mild dish soap. For areas that require a stronger solution, a mixture of baking soda and vinegar is the best choice. If your cabinets are made of sealed hardwood, you can deep clean them using a steam cleaner, but other cabinet materials are exempt from this type of cleaning.

Whether you’re a renter or a buyer, you should clean a house when moving out. For renters, it’s usually written in the lease that a house must be cleaned before it’s vacated. If you’re unsure how thoroughly to clean the place, check with the landlord beforehand; otherwise, you may not receive your deposit back. When selling a house, a contractual agreement is often made with the realtor that the house is swept and that all personal belongings are removed before the previous owners move out.

To keep small appliances in good working order, clean them regularly, follow the manufacturer’s maintenance guidelines, inspect connections for wear, and avoid overloading circuits.

For special occasions, follow the same 15% to 20% tipping suggestion on the final cost of the service. Cleaning for holidays and parties can sometimes exceed $400, depending on if it’s a deep clean or involves more specialized requests (like yard clean up, unpacking decorations, or rearranging furniture). In which case, a $400 service would result in a tip between $40 to $80.
