"FIVE STARS!! EMPWR is awesome please bring them your business. Eugene The owner just saved us so much money! Single mom here on a budget. My electricity went out and I tried to do my do diligence by checking the breaker but I missed something. The owner was kind enough to face time with me and saw the issue. He explained what I missed and then we had lights. Please call them for all your electrical needs. This was the most helpful honest company I've ever encountered."

"Electrician Wade was extremely professional.  He has a strong work ethic and did a top-notch job.  I will absolutely call him for any future electrical needs.  The staff personnel at their office were equally professional.  I can highly recommend this company.

"I had an electrical outlet installed on my brick fireplace so I could hang my TV up. I was quoted from another company $600 and would have the outlet box exposed from the brick. I used Enoch and it done for $150. Plug looks great! I'll use Enoch anytime I need electric work done."

"The best service. Normally i'm very hesistant with electricians after many bad experiences. Jonathan assured me that everything would be done and swiftly. After doubts they did an amazing job and followed me up within what i'd like to changed and not. Even the cable management was, honestly, with an old far like me, explained in detail and everything... perfect. Highly recommended! Especially with local folks!"

"I had a few GFIC wiring out at my house while I was remodeling. I can do a few things around the house, but I do not want to mess with electricity. I contacted JGE and he came out and gave me a free estimate and was back within a few days. He replaced the wiring and got him to replace all the outlet covers while he was here. Everything is working fine. JGE is easy to work with, did good clean work. And theyâ re insured."

"Ken and his team rewired a studs up remodel in downtown Austin during Covid for us. They were flexible, competent and actually showed when they said they would. They even responded to random texts answering questions and taking on more work we had to force them to take money for...seriously he's amazing. In addition to a new panel, removing all old wiring and installing new wiring for the complete house, Ken ran lines and installed 12 POE cameras, ran fiber to an exterior junction, installed networked smoke/CO2 detectors, and installed about 20 pot lights in the ceilings. The house being from the 1950's and having random "quirks" with pinned down old wiring didn't bother Ken or his apprentice and I found them at the house a couple of Sundays making sure they got the work done. Seriously, it's almost like I want to tell random people at the coffee shop "hey you need an electrician? I know this company 'Morningstar Electric.....""

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Round Rock, address electrical issues immediately if you notice burning odors, sparks, persistent breaker trips, or warm outlets—these signal urgent safety concerns. Schedule panel upgrades and surge protection before the intense summer heat or spring storm season, when demand peaks. Cosmetic upgrades and convenience outlets can usually wait. Planning major projects for late fall or winter helps avoid the city’s busy spring construction rush and extreme summer temperatures.

Helpful?

In Round Rock, unexpected costs for electrical projects often arise from permit and inspection fees, which are required for most upgrades. Homes built before the 1990s may need panel upgrades or GFCI outlets to meet current code. Rocky limestone soil can increase trenching labor for outdoor wiring, and frequent thunderstorms may require added surge protection. Emergency service calls during local outages can also lead to higher expenses.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Round Rock, it’s smart to keep a non-contact voltage tester, GFCI outlet tester, insulated screwdriver set, and a digital multimeter for safe troubleshooting. Stock weatherproof outlet covers and high-temperature electrical tape for outdoor protection, as well as spare GFCI outlets, circuit breakers, wire nuts, and surge protector strips. For outdoor or underground work, conduit and direct burial wire are especially useful in local soil conditions.

Helpful?

In Round Rock, running multiple high-wattage appliances during peak summer heat, overloading circuits when air conditioning is in constant use, and skipping surge protection during frequent thunderstorms can all strain your electrical system. Allowing moisture from spring rains or poor bathroom ventilation, and letting dust build up inside outlets or on ceiling fans, can also lead to premature electrical issues and repairs.

Helpful?

In TX, watch for flickering or dimming lights, circuit breakers that trip repeatedly, or outlets that work intermittently—these often signal bigger electrical problems ahead. Signs like water stains, rust, or insect damage after heavy rain or storms are red flags. If you notice multiple issues at once or hear any buzzing or arcing, it’s best to contact a local professional promptly to prevent more serious repairs.
