Since the damage exceeded my insurance deductible, I called State Farm and made a claim. When the Insurance Adjuster called and made an appointment to come assess the damage, I let William Duhon know. William came to the house while the Adjuster was there and started the repair after the Adjuster finished around 1 pm. William's repairs brought my electrical service entrance up to current local codes. As he was getting close to finishing the job, he called for a city inspector to come out. The inspector came promptly. The job passed inspection. The inspector called for a service reconnect and by 5:30 pm our home once again had power. Total cost $3386 including permit and inspection. William and his assistant did an outstanding job. Duhon Electric is the company that I will depend upon for all my future electrician service.

We did a quick walk-through of the work to be done at the beginning of the day to make sure we were on the same page. Damien and his apprentice did the work quickly, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to our family. The work was done exactly as I wanted, and Damien even added a photocell to the Christmas light outlets so that I wouldn't have to use a separate plug-in timer. They thoroughly cleaned up after themselves when they were done as well. The mini-split HVAC went in today without a hitch! Overall, I'm incredibly pleased with the work Damien and his team did! It was a little tough to get on their busy calendar, but it was worth the wait to have the job done perfectly. I'll absolutely be hiring Duhon Electric again if I need work done in the future!

They were exactly what we were looking for. I was a t work when they did the job but it was good.

Lost electric service during the thunderstorm Monday night. Austin Energy restored power to the neighborhood late Tuesday afternoon, but the main AC breaker in my electrical panel was in the off position and would not switch into the on position. I did my research on Angie's List and selected Duhon Electric. I called Duhon early Wednesday morning and left a voice message. William returned my call, and I explained the situation. He said that the main breaker probably failed and requested that I take a photo of it so that he could determine whether he could get a replacement. I took a photo of it and emailed it to him. He called back and told me that he could get the part and would be able to come to my house in the late afternoon and replace the part. He arrived at 5 pm, replaced the breaker, tightened down all screws on the wiring in the panel and tested the connections. My power was back on.  He did an excellent job, and I will use Duhon Electric for any future electrical work.

I asked Mr. Duhon to check my breaker for a bathroom that had a problem with the lights flickering & going out.  He arrived as scheduled; initial testing did not show a defective breaker & light came back on. He charged only a reduced service call fee.  Light failed again later that day. Mr. Duhon returned the next afternoon, installed new breaker and installed a new light fixture that I had purchased.  Light works now. Duhon charged only for the cost of the breaker that he bought, not for the return service call.  Service was prompt, professional and very reasonable.  I will definitely call him again.

I called Duhon Electric about 10:00 a.m. and was told they might not be able to work me in that day because they were booked. However, within about an hour they called back and said they could make the service call immediately.  When the electrician arrived - one of the Duhon brothers - he quickly figured out that the entire circuit was dead because a single wire was loose in one of my outlets.  He reconnected the wire and was done within minutes.  I will definitely use Duhon again if need arises.

The job went great. I have no complaints. I met William, we discussed the scope of the job, he sent me an estimate, we continued discussing the job, and he came out and finished the job very quickly. William and his brother are very busy, I think,  but it was worth the wait for quality work. I'd definitely use them again.

Contacted Duhon on the coldest day in Austin in several years to deal with a repeatedly thrown master breaker over several days.  Just one circuit appeared to cause the problem so I was unsure what the cause was as that particular circuit did not throw it's breaker but instead threw the main breaker. Knew electrical providers would be busy with heating outages so was happy when Duhon got back to me.  Talked through the problem on the phone and answered several questions.  Sent photos of circuit breaker box to Duhon by text message.  This info was combined to lead the technician to purchase the right part (which was no longer stocked everywhere) and come out to fix my problem.
Nice guy, well dressed, with the right tools, showed up and ran some tests to confirm his diagnosis.  Having confirmed the problem, he installed the fix, confirmed the fix by test and was shortly on his way.  The cost for the part and the service seemed reasonable to me.
I wanted someone who:
-Could troubleshoot,
-Comes prepared with the parts and tools for the job,
-Verifies the problem with test procedures,
-Only then, fixes the problem, and, finally,
-Verifies the fix.
I got that with Duhon and I am happy to, finally, have found an electrician to put in my book of trusted providers.
