"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. Thank You!"

"Vicente and his crew did a great job moving us twice. Both were locals moves. I will also hire them for any future moving needs. They're punctual, responsive to my requests, and they handled items with care so that nothing was broken. Fair prices, too. Definitely a local business worth hiring. I recommend them!"

"We had a great experience with NorthStar Moving Company when we moved from Los Angeles to another city 90 miles away. Due to the COVID-19 situation, we got our estimate via a video call (which was our request). I was satisfied that we were getting a good price with a professional company. I had many calls with Ron prior to the call to discuss the details of the upcoming move and he was always very honest and fair with me. On the morning of the move, the 4 man team arrived on time, and they all wore masks which we had requested. The team leader, Emmanuel, was so accommodating and polite. All the guys worked hard and were very careful with our things. We really appreciated their efforts and the fact that none of our belongings were damaged in the move. In the end, we were so happy that we had hired this company. Highly recommend!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

You should consider hiring professional movers for moves that seem too daunting, dangerous, or involve large, heavy objects. The larger your home and the longer the distance, the more likely you are to need professional help. A moving service can take the hardest tasks off your plate and reduce the risk of personal injury. However, if you are only moving a few light items, you can save money by moving on your own and renting a truck. Keep in mind that a DIY move requires significant planning and time. A hybrid option is also available, where you hire movers just to lift and transport heavy items to your vehicle.

Yes, moving insurance is designed to cover some or all of the replacement cost in the event your items are damaged during transit. You can get coverage directly from moving companies or use a third-party moving insurance provider. Plus, you can get coverage from third-party insurers for yourself if you’re moving your belongings.

To pack mugs safely for a move, start by lining the bottom of your moving box with padded material like bubble wrap. Wrap each mug individually; for a snug fit, you can tuck the ends of the bubble wrap sheet inside the mug. Place the wrapped mugs in the box, using a box with slots for extra separation if available. The key to preventing breakage is to pack the box tightly enough that the mugs cannot shift during transit. Fill any empty gaps with additional packing material. However, be careful not to pack more than 10 mugs in one box, as it can become too heavy to carry safely. Finally, be sure to label the box as “fragile” to alert movers to handle it with care.

While your movers focus on packing and transporting your belongings, you can focus on other parts of your move, such as preparing children and pets to move or cleaning rooms as they’re emptied. You’ll need to be onsite as your movers pack or unpack your stuff, and can help direct movers to where items should go if they need help. Additionally, if there are certain items you’d prefer to move yourself, such as valuables or sentimental items, focus on packing those things and taking them with you during your move.

If you’re moving locally, pack up your condiments in a cooler and move them in your car or moving truck so you can put them in the fridge as soon as you arrive at your new place. For long-distance moves, use up or empty out all opened condiments or give them to your neighbors. Pack unopened condiments in a box or give them away if you don’t want to move them.
