"I originally left a 5 star review because sticking my head out all looked good, upon walking the yard there are massive issues. The company has been contacted and made no effort to rectify. First, I told Adrian a 5 inch cut, it is barely 4 in front and 2 in back. I told him edges 100% the same height as everything else and he created a full inch gap between the sidewalk and the lawn, he edged everything lower around the beds. How is the same height not understood? Literally absurd on all levels. I told him all clippings bagged, he shows up with a commercial machine that does not bag and left clippings all over, but no place that it would actually be helpful. The yard is scalped as we head into the hottest part of the year and as a result I will have further grass loss. I hesitated hiring him with so few reviews, but when someone shows up with a 12 foot trailer and commercial equipment and puts the terms in writing and is initially doing well you go on inside and let them do their work, I should have sat out there and babysat. The kicker, in writing and twice while he was here I told him to put the compost bins at the street, when I only saw 2 bins and one bag (he did not use the 3rd bin nor the one across the street that I told him he could use) I knew that there were much larger issues as I told him more than clearly that all clippings were to be bagged and there should have been at bare minimum 4 bins and at least one yard bag based on the overgrowth, and for a real service there should have been 4 bins and 4 or 5 bags. He also left these bins in front of the garage where they had to be moved to get the car out, I guess he has never lived in a home where people use the garage for their car. The lack of composting material is what started the walk of the yard. It will be at least 9 months before the yard can be mowed again it so scalped and will be so retarded by the heat. On top of it all he pulled all the root matrix up where the St Augustin in back was starting to come back from the last crew that left leaf mats all over the yard by also telling me that they were going to bag everything and mulched it."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.

Never put glass in the garbage disposal. It can damage your disposal or eject shards of glass out of the disposal and cause injury. If you get broken glass in your garbage disposal, turn it off and cut the power from the breaker, use a tool like pliers or tongs to remove the glass, and use a wet-dry vacuum to remove the remaining glass pieces. If you can’t access the disposal safely, call a garbage disposal repair pro.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.
