"I couldn’t be more pleased with the quartz and tile installation done by Chip Streeter and his team at Mount Pleasant Residential Repair. Chip is a true professional — his attention to detail, clear communication, and commitment to quality were evident throughout the entire project. The quartz countertops were cut and installed perfectly, and the tile work is immaculate. Every line is clean and precise, and the overall finish exceeded my expectations. Chip and his crew were punctual, respectful of my home, and left the work area spotless. If you’re looking for top-quality craftsmanship combined with outstanding customer service, I highly recommend Chip Streeter and Mount Pleasant Residential Repair. I’ll absolutely be calling them again for future projects at my Folly Beach house! Master bath and outdoor shower and tub is next on my list!"

"They are very good. I use them as often as I can. They do the house cleaning. They change my bedding too. They clean the bathrooms and do the standard cleaning for me. Typically the same lady comes out to clean. They are really good about scheduling around my time. She stays for about 3-4 hours. I have been using their service for about 4-5 months now. They are also affordable. They clean 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and all of the floors for me in a single family home."

"Very nice job, worked with me to get exactly what I wanted.  Finished in about 20 hours total,  two men.  David and his assistant did all the work.  Removed all old material from job site.  Cleaned up all debris.  I though the price was right."

"Most objection was that price quoted was much lower than price charged ($00 vs and gt; 1000 actual). I should have gotten a written quote for the job. He informed me that he could not protect the base molding and indeed it was damaged and I had to redo all. However, damage was also done to carpet on stair and adjacent wood floor. Overall, I felt overcharged for the job and I even ended up doing the finish coat that was part of his original quote, at my expense and time.

"I Previously wrote a review about Affordable Handyman and painting services that was unacceptable. I've recently been in touch with them and found out that things weren't as they seemed. I am man enough to admit that I was wrong and apologize for the earlier review. The quote I was given was very reasonable and actually the best I had received and can't wait to see how the work goes!"

"Very well. Travis did what I needed, especially anchoring the hutch to the wall to keep safe from a climbing cat. A creative and durable solution. Very skilled and professional. Will definitely call on him again."

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

You can’t change the color of the stone, but you can update granite countertops without replacing them by painting them. Because granite is a porous material, you’ll want to seal them first before painting them so that the paint doesn’t hurt the surface. This is important because you don’t want to devalue your counters by damaging the original surface; even if you don’t like the color now, you or a new homeowner may want to remove the paint someday and return them to their original color. You can also cover them with

Yes, stains can often be removed using a poultice paste that draws out the stain. The paste is applied, allowed to dry, and then removed, lifting the stain from the stone.

Some of the cheapest ways to change granite countertops without replacing them include painting, honing, or changing the finish, covering them with tile or laminate, and using countertop contact paper. Dollar for dollar, applying countertop film is the cheapest, easiest, and most reversible way to update the look of your countertops. No matter what you choose, remember that permanently marring the original countertops can cost you money when you’re trying to sell your home, so make smart choices and preserve the integrity of the granite.

Onyx countertops are naturally porous, absorbing liquids and staining easily without proper care. Regular sealing every 6 to 12 months is essential to keep them looking their best. Daily maintenance includes wiping up spills immediately and avoiding harsh cleaners or acidic substances that can etch the surface.

Silestone® is heat-resistant, so it can handle moderately high temperatures for a short period of time. That said, exposure to high heat can cause serious damage. You should never take a hot pan off the stove and place it directly on your countertop. Temperatures above 300 degrees Fahrenheit can leave marks or discoloration on the surface. Instead, use a trivet.
