"On April 25, 2024, we had a bad experience with B&D Sealcoating & More, William â Billâ Kester and Dustin Wackwitz (â B&Dâ ). They dug out a trench where our driveway meets our garage floor and left a serious trip hazard and perfect place for water to pool to cause more property damage (pictures attached). Perhaps they ran out of materials and just decided to call it a day (since they began work at the street and worked their way up to the garage, that explanation seems plausible). I wasnâ t home when they finished, and my husband had given them the $1,450 check earlier (which they cashed at our bank after leaving our home) so withholding funds wasn't an option. We were very dissatisfied but, after receiving a text from the person who recommended B&D warning us to NOT hire them because of newly-discovered information, we decided to just cut our losses and hire someone else to finish the job. Until now, the only person we confided in about our dissatisfaction with B&D was the author of the warning text. Unfortunately, the author of the warning text recently shared our dissatisfaction with William â Billâ Kester and he sent us several threatening and taunting messages. We are in the process of finalizing a complaint with the PA Attorney General and exploring legal options."

We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

Dan and his partner were the installers and initially I thought it was just some lack of attention to detail and poor quality in their workmanship but it turned out it was completely just negligent ********! Almost every window leaked cold air when it came time in the winter and after they had finished installing everything towards the end of November beginning of December. Missing caulk lines and having the use my own insulation and drywall because of the negligent job they did. They had to come in and recaulk around almost every window and or put insulation in but I ended up doing most of that myself. The worst was the opening they left on each corner of my patio door and a few other windows and with all the rain and snow I ended up with black mold and fungus growing inside at the base of the door"

My crew consists of me and Dan. I’m very fortunate to get 10-20 calls a week and be very busy. Often I’m booked up 6-12 weeks in advance. So if you’re looking for something ASAP then most likely I can’t help but occasionally I I can get to some. So it’s best if your able to plan ahead. I perform home repairs and remodeling. My work varies from small repairs such as drywall patches, hanging doors, trim work, handrails to remodeling bathrooms, kitchens or basements. I try to keep the work I do limited to what Dan and I can do. I will sub out larger plumbing and electrical work when needed. I've got away from working on roofs. I provide free estimates when I have time to look at jobs. I don't mark up the price on materials. I'm sorry I don't take credit cards. Cash or checks are fine.
