Jason Johnston, the owner, came to our house on the initial visit. He asked many questions about our heating and cooling habits. More importantly, he listened to my answers and suggested options to suit our criteria. Throughout the entire decision making process, I had numerous questions about the various choices available in the Carrier product line. Jason was extremely patient and addressed each and every concern, both by phone and email. The end result is a heating and cooling system that meets our needs, not one that we felt pressured into buying. Because we were buying between the heating and cooling seasons, they were able to install almost immediately. The installation went smoothly. Kelly, the installer, has years of experience. He was able to custom make a section of ductwork with dampers to allow for better airflow to the second story of our home. He, too, was able to address any questions I had during the installation process. He left both the furnace and air conditioner installation sites clean. All debris and packing material were removed. Kelly also programmed our new thermostat and gave me an easily understood lesson as well. When presented with the final bill, the amount matched the initial bid. There were no hidden costs or extra expenses."

"Dave from Columbia came to my place in Portland from Scappoose on a same-day appt, for what I thought was a dead furnace. (I had tons of smoke flow into the home after furnace turned on.) Rather than just presuming the furnace was dead or even the problem, Dave poked around. He discovered the smoke was from the fireplace/chimey and the furnace turning on had pulled air from the chimney, reignited a smoldering log, and then filled the house with smoke. The problem was with the chimney all along, but Dave/Columbia did not charge me anything for the trip to Portland---or for diagnosing the problem---even when I called later to offer. Great service, great customer relations, great knowledge of how air moves through homes."
