"Noah and his crew worked fast and built exactly what I asked for! We wanted a covered space on our deck to enclose it for a catio, and they understood my vision perfectly. They even framed out a door with a secure latch so our cats cannot escape. We are DIYing the rest of the catio build, but if I need any more help on this or future projects, I wouldn't hesitate to hire Noah!"

"John was very prompt. He took the time to explain the work he was doing and answered all my questions. In the past I've had people recommend replacing the torsion springs, bearings etc even when they were not worn out. John showed how to check them easily and was very practical in his recommendationsl. I would hire him again if a need arises"

"It went great. Mark fit me into his schedule at the last second. Travis got to the house early and worked quickly. He was able to preserve the cabinets as I requested for later reuse. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

"Our gauge for a great provider,
1. Returns call promptly to give an estimate.
2. Shows up on day of appointment for the estimate
3. Gives us the quote in a timely manner and schedules the work in a resonable amount of time.
Pro Gras met all of these items!!! The work was scheduled and on the day of installation the sod was delivered first and the workers showed up right on time. They worked very hard and seemed to have pride in their job.   The lead was able to answer questions about watering etc.
After the lawn was in for 3 weeks we had a couple of spots that were burned (as the original sod was installed on at 99d day). We called Mark who promptly returned our call and came out.  He addressed our issues and they were fixed within
several days.
With all of the landscape companies in our area these folks are at the top of our list. They care about the job they do and about great customer service. We would recommend them as well as use them again,

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.
