"Shyma took the time to explain everything in detail, showing patience and a great attitude throughout the process. Once I fully understood the issue, he offered the best solution, all while being mindful of my budget. His prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of work and integrity he brings to the job, which is rare these days. I highly recommend reaching out to him for any plumbing needs."

"I just wanted to thank Dillon and BJ for taking care of my plumbing issues this morning. They are two of the most polite techs I have every dealt with. They didn't waste time, cleaned up after themselves and were just a pleasure to have in my home. Freedom Plumbing is my new go-to HVAC/Plumbing company. THANK YOU AGAIN."

"Yang from Vi Plumbing did a great job. He removed my old 40 gal. non-working water heater to a 50 gal. water heater that I purchased for Home Depot. He was very professional and made sure he cleaned everything up before he left. He made sure that the water heater was working and answered any question. Great Job!!"

"Earlier this year we hired Installations & Remodeling Inc to remodel our master bathroom, including a new shower, jetted tub, and counter which required framing, masonry, plumbing, drywall, and painting. Was so impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism that we recently had them repaint the exterior of our home. Extremely pleased with the way that both jobs turned out. Martel is extremely organized and can easily adjust his plan to adapt to the unexpected and still stay on overall schedule."

Yes, most states require plumbers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality, added future expenses, and potential code violations. Having a licensed plumber tackle your projects only protects you as a homeowner.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Yes plumbers should be licensed within the State and local jurisdiction

Helpful?

Start by locating your main water shutoff valve near the street in your Broken Arrow yard. Keep a meter key on hand to turn off the water during winter freeze warnings. You can safely remove and soak faucet aerators to clear hard water buildup. For anything beyond basic fixture maintenance, hire a licensed professional. Oklahoma plumbing codes forbid unpermitted work on supply or drain lines, which creates safety hazards.

Helpful?

Updating your plumbing significantly boosts resale appeal in Broken Arrow. Buyers look for homes free of old galvanized steel pipes and hard water damage. Oklahoma real estate laws require sellers to disclose known defects, making unresolved issues a strict liability. Upgrading your system addresses these concerns head-on. A modern, code-compliant setup helps your property stand out in a competitive market and prevents inspection surprises from derailing your sale.

Helpful?

Schedule a plumbing assessment if your Broken Arrow home has galvanized steel pipes from the 1960s to 1980s. These materials corrode over time and require replacement. Watch for visible white scaling around faucets or reduced water flow caused by local hard water. You must also inspect exposed pipes after severe winter freezes in OK. Unseen micro-fractures from past storms cause hidden damage, making proactive inspections essential for your home.

Helpful?

You must make several key decisions during a plumbing upgrade in Broken Arrow. Choose whether you or your licensed contractor will pull the required city permits. Select your preferred water heater type and placement to combat local hard water. Decide on the best pipe materials to withstand Oklahoma clay soils. Finally, review your neighborhood rules and coordinate with your homeowners association regarding any exterior trenching or landscaping disruptions.
