"My Wayfair installer had me waiting all day just to cancel at 4pm on a Tuesday. I had no one to put my bed frame together and would have spent another night sleeping on the floor. Eternal Way was able to send someone over in a half hour! The service man was very polite and professional . He did a clean job and was quick. I am so grateful for them. I would definitely call them again if I needed help ."

"Edgar was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He did a complete job including hooking up sinks and stove-top after being removed to allow counter top install. I would use him again for this type of work. Edgar also installed a back splash in the sink area and behind the stove area. Excellent work and great job. Also very easy to pay for the work."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Removing old tiles can be more complicated, but it can also be more manageable, depending on your circumstances. Typically, old tile is hard to remove because the adhesive had loads of time to bond with your wall, becoming a formidable foe between you and your new tile installation project. On the other hand, old tile in high-traffic areas can become loose, making it much easier to remove.

Taking the time to properly prepare your tile backsplash before painting and treating it with care afterward is the best way to ensure its longevity. While the tile can last for the life of the home, you may have to repaint it after a few years. However, using only mild cleanser and water to keep it clean can maximize the paint's lifespan.

Yes, you can tile over existing shower tiles, but it's better to remove the old tiles first for the best results. Tiling over existing tiles requires a clean, level surface and proper adhesion. If the old tiles are in good condition, you can roughen the surface to improve adhesion. However, removing the old tiles ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish and prevents potential issues down the line.

The grout shade you choose comes down to personal taste and preference. A darker grout will give you a more dramatic and noticeable contrast with the tile around it; however, lighter grout helps create a more uniform look when blending the colors together. Additionally, a darker grout combined with a patterned tile could be overwhelming to the eye, while lighter grout makes the pattern stand out as the main focus.

It’s easiest to start from an edge as it gives you a straight line. A problem may arise if your edge doesn’t line up perfectly, in which case it’s best to start from the center. Some think that starting tile from the center adds a focal point in the center of the hearth.
