"Jesus and his hardworking crew extended our concrete driveway and sidewalk. They had it completed in one day and it looks great. When I mentioned that we were having a hard time scheduling someone to do some dirt work, he said that he could do that for us too, which they did. Both at a reasonable price. Would hire them again. Do not hesitate to ask him about other projects. If he cannot do a particular type of job, he knows someone who can."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

The best cleaning solution for stamped concrete is a combination of water and mild soap. Dish soap and laundry detergent are good options. For more stubborn stains, you can use an alkaline cleaner that removes oil and grease. In either case, you’ll want to steer clear of abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals which can damage the concrete.

You can use a pressure washer to clean a whole host of surfaces. The exterior siding of your house is one of the most popular spots, as well as your driveway, garage floor, patio or deck, and even your outdoor furniture. Just be mindful about the amount of pressure you apply to different materials—concrete can handle a lot more than wood, for example.

You can hire a landscaper to clean up your asphalt driveway or make minor repairs. You can also hire a company that specializes in asphalt driveway installation and repair. For cleaning jobs, most landscapers charge by the hour. Pressure washing a driveway costs between $100 to $350, but spot treatments and refilling damaged asphalt will cost extra.

Pressure washing your driveway can prevent cracks in it since it removes grease and oil, which, if left on the driveway for too long, can break down compounds in concrete and asphalt, leading to cracks. It can also help keep driveway weeds, moss, mold, and mildew at bay while boosting your home's curb appeal.

Yes, a pressure washer uses less water than a garden hose. There are many ways to use a pressure washer, and it can be an eco-friendly hose substitute. While a pressure washer expels water with greater force, it uses 50% to 70% less water than a garden hose. Specifically, hoses put out six to 10 gallons per minute (GPM), while pressure washers only use two to five GPM.
