"They where early and fixed three outlets, and fixed my microwave cord. They even checked the electrical lines in the attic. They also fixed what the prior electric company did not fix the day before. The price was $250 dollars. Cheaper than other electrical companies quotes."

Small jobs welcome

"I put out a request on Angi to install wiring and a switch so that I could later put in a vanity light fixture in my master bathroom. I got contacted the same day with an appointment scheduled the following day to meet me and quote the service. As expected, the electrician informed me via phone when he would be arriving, but as I needed to drive home from my workplace on the other side of the Tulsa metro area, it took me a little over half an hour to meet him, but he was patiently waiting for me in my driveway. I have experienced occasions in the past where contractors or technicians won't use materials that you may provide, so that they could mark up pricing on the products they source. That was not the case with Hot Shot Electric. They didn't force me to wait another day so that they could procure supplies. I had junction boxes and copper wire left over from previous projects, I had on hand what was needed to get the job done, so the electrician went to work that morning, completing the job in less than half an hour."

"I hired Mr. Electric to change a fuse box to a breaker panel and update the electrical for the house. I talked to Jonathan who set up the appointments, sent email messages that included the picture of the technician. The technician, Nathanial was very efficient in getting the job done quickly."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

In Broken Arrow, contractors specializing in electrical work include residential electricians for home wiring, lighting, and smart home upgrades; commercial electricians for business and retail spaces; and emergency electricians for urgent repairs. Some focus on electrical panel upgrades, surge protection, or solar installation. Others specialize in older home renovations or manufacturing facilities, ensuring expertise tailored to Broken Arrow’s mix of new builds and historic properties.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Broken Arrow often underestimate the importance of proper permits and local code compliance, especially with older wiring. Attempting DIY electrical panel upgrades or installing surge protection without expertise can create hazards. Many also overlook the need for weatherproofing outdoor outlets due to Oklahoma’s storms. Choosing unqualified contractors or skipping insurance checks are frequent mistakes that can lead to unsafe or incomplete electrical work.

Helpful?

In Broken Arrow, flickering lights during thunderstorms, outlets that stop working after heavy rain, or a persistent burning odor can signal bigger electrical problems. Warm outlet covers, frequent breaker trips, or aluminum wiring—common in older homes—are warning signs. If you notice dimming lights when appliances run or see scorch marks, it’s best to consult a local electrician before issues escalate.

Helpful?

In Broken Arrow, address burning smells, sparks, rusted panels, or exposed wires right away due to fire and humidity risks. Frequent breaker trips, non-working outlets, or flickering lights should be addressed within a few weeks. Schedule electrical panel upgrades or surge protection before storm season. Cosmetic updates or adding extra outlets can typically wait for milder weather or when your schedule allows.

Helpful?

If you notice lights dimming when large appliances start, outlets not working, frequent breaker trips, or burning smells from panels in Broken Arrow, electrical work is likely needed. However, flickering lights during wind or intermittent power loss may indicate utility issues. Appliance breakdowns or high energy bills could be HVAC-related. For storm-related or outdoor problems, consider both electrical repairs and weatherproofing solutions.
