"I’m glad that I found O’Connor Plumbing at short notice. We had a double kitchen sink that was clogged, which needed cleaning. O’Connor arrived during a snowy day and got it fixed within the hour. I recommend him to anyone who has plumbing needs."

"First of all, the ladies in the Torch office are very responsible and accommodating. I was impressed with them, and my good impression of Torch increased exponentially after I interacted with its service professionals. Todd Golightly installed a new garbage disposal and a new hot-water heater for me, and he also cleaned out the sewer line from my house to the City line, I do not t think he could have done a more perfect job! He truly takes prides in his work, and he is not satisfied with any job until it is in line with his standard of excellence. (He even corrects substandard work from previous contractors so the work meets his high expectations.) Finally, Todd is a great guy and is dependable, respectful, trustworthy, and easy to work with. I am completely happy with the jobs he did for me! (FYI, he was assisted by Ricky Hansard and Aaron Hamilton.)"

"

Danny and his helper showed up about 30 minutes late, but they had called and said they were running behind, so that was no problem. (I appreciated the call.)

They both gave a warm, professional greeting, looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and introduced themselves.  They immediately got to work pulling the stove out and locating the leak.  They were able to repair it very quickly and were nice enough to level the stove for me before they left (so now my oil/eggs/whatever won't keep running to the back of the pan!).

They wiped up everything and probably left the floor cleaner than it was!

Both guys were friendly, dressed appropriately, clean, and neat.  Very polite.  Very courteous. Good guys. Great experience.

"Zach and his crew did a great job of fixing the low water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom. Came back the following day to take care of a couple of small things. The guys were knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard. I have definitely saved their number in my phone, in case I need more plumbing work."

"Was given a very fair price for work and were able to come out essentially that next day. They were able to do invoicing for me which is a big deal as it seems most plumbers require payment upon delivery were as I was able to be emailed an invoice and pay over the phone when I had the chance. They fixed a toilet that another plumber had botched doing a wax seal and T bolt kit. Had flushing issues and the previous plumber said it needed to be replaced, but instead all it needed was a new fill kit. I had them come out to my second rental property to fix a spigot that they weren't able to access because it required cutting into the drywall on the interior through a residents room and instead of charging me a service charge to come out told me to just call them when they would have access to the room again. I'll definitely use them again and if their customer service continues to stay the same will continue to use them."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

A sewer line should be cleaned at least once every 18 to 22 months. The process takes about 30 minutes or up to 5 hours, depending on the size of the line, how easy it is to access, and how long it’s been since the previous cleaning. If your sewer line hasn’t been cleaned in a couple of years or you don’t even know the last time it’s been cleaned, it’s time to call a pro.

With a one-way cleanout, you can access your sewer line from one direction. Depending on the way it curves, a plumber can either access the side of the pipe that goes into your home or the side that goes to your yard. On the other hand, two-way cleanouts allow pros to access both sides of the sewer line, thanks to their dual-pipe design (they’re usually U-shaped).

To prevent drain clogs, perform regular maintenance and cleaning. Avoid disposing of substances like grease or coffee grounds down the sink. Additionally, installing and routinely using drain strainers can help catch debris and prevent blockages from forming.

It’ll take 20 to 30 minutes to unclog a sewer line using a drain snake or drain cleaner. If you hire a professional, you should expect them to be on-site for three hours or less. In addition to clearing the clog, they’ll do other routine inspections, which adds to the overall time (and cost) required.

It can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours to fix a main line clog, depending on the cause and severity of it. The job should not take more than a day to complete. Keep in mind that the main line is not the same as your home’s sewer lines (which connect to the main line and run to your house). Your city is responsible for any clogs or damage to the main line itself.
