"From start to finish, my experience with Rogers Basement Waterproofing was the the kind of experience we all hope for when hiring a professional. I contacted Rogers initially to get an idea of how to start addressing external moisture issues around my home’s foundation. My plan was to start by having new downspout/sump drainage lines installed, but my goal was to find a trusted company I could have confidence in for addressing future foundation/basement issues that are inevitable in aging homes. Shortly after my initial call, Nick contacted me. At our appointment he arrived promptly and took the time to listen to all my concerns. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and easy to communicate with. He answered my millions of questions, and I never felt rushed or pressured. In fact, I felt so impressed with that consult that I signed a contract on the spot—something I never do—for installation of drainage lines. The day before the scheduled work, Nicole—the Office Manager—contacted me to confirm and answer any questions I might have. I did have a request concerning one of the lines, and she relayed that request as soon as our call ended. Within minutes, I was contacted by Nick that my request was noted. Nicole was so incredibly nice that it further confirmed that I’d chosen the right company. On the scheduled day, the 4 man crew arrived on the dot. Shortly afterward, Nick stopped by to see how the work was going and to see if I had any questions/concerns. The crew, Zach, Craig, Hunter, and Josh were the hardest workers ever and couldn’t have been more friendly and pleasant. All four, and Nick, went out of their way to put my mind at ease about the process. The crew are more than skilled workers, they are craftsmen. They did meticulous work and went above and beyond. While routing a line to avoid tearing up a garden bed, a huge rock had to be hacked out of the ground. It’s now a cool garden feature since one of the crew kindly offered to wash it off and haul it over to one of the garden beds! The terrific crew were so efficient that the work was completed in under four hours. You literally cannot see where the trench was dug. Last night, we had a gulley washer rainfall. My neighbors probably thought I had lost my mind standing in the street in the rain in the dark with a flashlight—but it was so great watching the rainwater pouring out of the new drainage pipe ? The entire experience with the folks at Rogers felt like I was working with family. Just amazing. I’m so happy to have found a trusted company to turn to if future foundation/ basement issues arise. "The technician arrived on time and explained everything he was going to do. He first removed the old finish (about 2 hours). There was no smell. He then applied 3 layers of new finish. The bathtub looks like new. A great job overall."

"Sometimes you live and learn and sometimes you live and get burned and that was our experience with McDermott Plumbing. The leak began before Xmas and Mr. McDermott himself showed up to do the job. We were charged $99 for the service call. He thought the issue was that the toilet needed to be reseated. That was another $249, so we're out $300 for this. Two days later the dripping starts again and I call McDermott Plumbing again. Because of sickness, they can't get out until 01/19/22. Fine--but I get a nagging feeling that I need to make sure I'm not paying another $99 for a problem that wasn't fixed the first time. I call back and get an answering service and I leave a message. No call back on the 18th, so I call and get McDermott himself. He says he's not going to charge me for a service call. What he IS going to charge me is $129 for "an inspection fee" but he'll take that off of any repair work that costs over $400. Deciding "fool me once/fool me twice" wasn't a game I wanted to play, I canceled the appointment and called a handyman instead. When he came out to check the leak, he also checked the seating of the toilet and found all McPherson had done was add more sealant ON TOP of the existing sealant! It was a goopy, nasty-looking MESS (here's where I wish Angi allowed pictures to be included in these reviews). The handyman went to the hardware store for a new, extra-thick wax ring, something he said the other guy should have done in the first place. This was a nightmarish experience from the beginning. I try to trust professionals will do professional work, but that's not what happened with McPherson Plumbing. I regret having called them and under no circumstances would I ever use their "services" again. If there were a way to give a half-star or none at all for this rotten experience, I would do it."

"This is an outstanding company to work with. We remodeled two bathrooms and the kitchen. The estimates were in line with the other companies and there were no "surprises" at the end. We were pleased that they could begin the project earlier than we had thought, since we had sub-flooring issues. A plan was made that would allow us to live in the house as the renovations were made. First, one bathroom would be completed in two weeks, and then the second bath and the kitchen would start and be completed in the next 3 weeks. Ann sent us a plan which described what would happen daily, and the 5-week project was completed exactly on time. The first bathroom had a complete tear-out including walls and ceiling. Then, a new shower and tile, flooring, drywall, new fixtures, lighting, exhaust fan, and cabinets were installed. The second bath -similar to the first- and kitchen were next, and it continued on schedule even after unexpected sub-floor issues were corrected. In the kitchen they replaced cabinets, sink, and countertops, repaired drywall, installed new flooring, ceiling lights, and a dishwasher, and installed additional cabinets for storage. They also painted all three rooms. All the workers were experienced, friendly and professional. They came on time each day as scheduled. Jerry came often throughout the project to check on things and to answer any questions or concerns. Phone calls and emails to Ann at the office were handled quickly and pleasantly. We felt we were working less with a company than with a Team we could trust."

"They were great. The job was small to start, basically just behind the stove, and it is hard to find someone to come and do a small job. I liked it so well, I expanded to wrap around all the way around under the counters. They came back and did the job professionally and efficiently. It was glass subway type tile and it was cut to perfection. It was the explanation point the kitchen needed!"
