"MEMBER IS DEFINITELY MISLEADING. OUR RECORDS INDICATE MEMBER REPORTED THREE SEPARATE SCOPES OF WORK ON THREE DIFFERENT DATES OF SEPTEMBER 19TH, SEPTEMBER 22ND AND OCTOBER 5TH. MEMBER WAS ADVISED SEPTEMBER 22ND A $20 ESTIMATE FEE IS PAYABLE AT THE TIME DON, OWNER, ASSESSES THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED, AND THAT THE ESTIMATE FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO THE COST OF THE PROJECT IF WE PERFORM THE WORK. AS THIS IS A LOCAL RENTAL PROPERTY AND MEMBER/PROPERTY OWNER LIVES OUT OF STATE MEMBER ASKED DAVINA TO CONTACT THE TENANT DIRECTLY TO SCHEDULE THE ESTIMATE. DAVINA CONTACTED TENANT OCTOBER 5TH AND SCHEDULED THE ESTIMATE FOR DON'S FIRST AVAILABLE DATE ON OCTOBER 9TH. DAVINA THEN CALLED MEMBER BACK OCTOBER 5TH LEAVING MEMBER A DETAILED MESSAGE OF THE DATE OF THE ESTIMATE, AND ASKED MEMBER TO MAIL THE ESTIMATE FEE. IN GOOD FAITH DON ASSESSED ALL ITEMS OCTOBER 9TH, INCLUDING A FEW ADDITIONAL ITEMS THE TENANT REPORTED. THE AFTERNOON OF OCTOBER 10TH MEMBER CALLED ASKING FOR THE ESTIMATE. DAVINA ADVISED MEMBER THAT DON JUST ASSESSED ITEMS THE DAY BEFORE AND THAT DON WOULD CONTACT HIM WHEN HIS ESTIMATE WAS COMPLETED. AS MEMBER NEVER RETURNED DAVINA'S CALL FROM OCTOBER 5TH DAVINA SIMPLY INQUIRED IF HE RECEIVED THE MESSAGE AND MAILED THE ESTIMATE FEE, AS THE ESTIMATE FEE HAD NOT BEEN RECEIVED AS OF OCTOBER 10TH. MEMBER STATED THAT HE WAS GOING TO INCLUDE THE ESTIMATE FEE IN WITH THE PAYMENT FOR THE WORK IF WE PERFORM THE WORK. DAVINA ADVISED HIM AGAIN THAT THE ESTIMATE FEE IS PAYABLE AT THE TIME DON ASSESSES THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED AND WILL BE APPLIED TO THE COST OF THE PROJECT IF WE PERFORM THE WORK. MEMBER STATED THAT HE WOULD MAIL THE ESTIMATE FEE THE FOLLOWING DAY. MEMBER THEN INSTANTLY BECAME EXTREMEMLY IRATE SCREAMING WE CARE MORE ABOUT THE ESTIMATE FEE THAN DOING THE WORK. DAVINA CALMLY STATED THAT WAS OUR PROCEDURE. IT WOULD BE UNFAIR TO OTHER CLIENTS WHO PAY THE ESTIMATE FEE AT THE TIME OF THE ESTIMATE IF WE OVERLOOKED HIS ESTIMATE FEE. MEMBER AGAIN SCREAMED WE CARE MORE ABOUT THE ESTIMATE FEE. DEFINITELY OUR GAIN. DEFINITELY IN OUR BEST INTEREST NOT WORKING FOR THIS KIND OF A PERSON. OUR EXCEPTIONAL REPUTATION SPEAKS FOR ITSELF MAINTAINING AN A GRADE ON ANGIE'S LIST, AN A+ RATING WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND FORTY-SIX AWARDS FROM ANGIE'S LIST AND NARI SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES."
"MEMBER WAS PROVIDED A QUOTE. MEMBER OPTED TO EMAIL PICTURES OF ISSUES JULY 6TH IN LIEU OF SCHEDULING AN ESTIMATE IN THE HOPE THAT DON COULD PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE BASED UPON DETAILS AND PICTURES PROVIDED. AS PICTURES WERE INCONCLUSIVE AN ESTIMATE WAS SCHEDULED. MEMBER WAS ADVISED UP FRONT WE DO NOT WORK ON WINDOW PIECES AND PARTS BUT DON WOULD ASSESS WHILE THERE AND WOULD ADVISE MEMBER IF WE COULD HELP WITH WINDOW ISSUES. DON LEFT MEMBER A DETAILED MESSAGE JULY 27TH LEAVING DETAILED QUOTE TO REPAIR SOME OF THE ISSUES, AND REFERRED MEMBER TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER DIRECTLY REGARDING THE REMAINING ISSUES. DON FOLLOWED UP WITH MEMBER JULY 28TH TO CONFIRM MEMBER RECEIVED THE MESSAGE BUT THERE WAS NO ANSWER. THE PHONE RANG SEVERAL TIMES AND THERE WAS NO OPTION TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. DON CALLED BACK JULY 31ST AND AGAIN THE PHONE RANG SEVERAL TIMES. AGAIN, THERE WAS NO OPTION TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. AS INITIAL PICTURES WERE INCONCLUSIVE THEY WERE NOT PRINTED FOR THE ESTIMATE PACKAGE. AS DON DOES NOT HANDLE EMAILS HE DID NOT RECALL PICTURES WERE PREVIOUSLY EMAILED, OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE CONTACTED MEMBER VIA EMAIL. AFTER DON ASSESSED ITEMS MEMBER NEVER ONCE CALLED US INQURING ABOUT THE QUOTE. WE DO CHARGE A NOMINAL ESTIMATE FEE WHICH IS APPLIED TO THE COST OF THE PROJECT IF WE PERFORM THE WORK."
