"Meyer Drywall, is a two man team, Eric and Tyler. They are skilled at their trade of drywall install and finishing. They have the trade equipment and experience to effectively get your job done. My project consisted of replacing drywall in two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Eric and Tyler effectively removed and disposed of the old drywall. They then hung the new drywall sheeting. The finishing process was performed very efficiently to achieve the desired results. My project was completed in six working days. The job included primer painting of all new product and complete work area cleanup. The finished results are outstanding. I recommend Meyer Drywall for your next drywall project. Happy home improvement!"

"We were completely happy with the spray painting of our unfinished basement ceiling. Nik and Brandon showed up at the scheduled time. They worked efficiently: did a very good prep work, painting and clean up work. We were so pleased that we already lined up the next job with them drywalling and painting some walls in our basement. They have great work ethic and are very professional, respectful and polite."

"LMNEAL Painting not only was professional, and cost efficient, but they're BBB accredited as well. For the quality of work I received I had to tip them because in my heart I felt as though they under bid the job."

"I'm remodeling a rental property, was looking for help to get things done faster. Contacted All Builds Construction to do drywall/tape/mud/finish ceilings in two rooms. Found out during the estimate they can do much more than just drywall. Ended up also having them install kitchen cabinets and countertops. Everything from communication to price to workmanship were all great, no complaints at all. I would absolutely recommend them, and will certainly call the next time I need more work done. You won't be disappointed, give them a call!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

If you're comfortable hanging drywall yourself, you may be comfortable finishing it. But it's worth noting that finishing drywall adds several steps to the process and a lot of waiting time. Hiring a drywall installer may be the way to go if you'd rather spend your time doing other things or are nervous about leaving a rough surface.

Plaster that sags or bulges, shows extensive deep cracks, or is crumbling from water damage or simply time may need replacement. Plaster walls can look a little “worn” for a long time before they need replacing. The only real way to know if it needs a replacement is to hire a professional to assess the condition of the plaster.

Yes, you can mount a TV on plaster walls—as long as you attach it to the studs. Alternatively, you can use toggle bolts, molly bolts, or another type of hardware that’s strong enough to support a TV.

If you aren’t comfortable with this type of project, you can hire a pro. The cost of mounting a TV to a plaster wall ranges from $25 to $600 (or more), depending on the TV’s weight, size, and other factors.

The best way to make long, straight cuts is to use a utility knife and a T-square to score the sheet, snap along the score, and then finish the cut by cutting through the paper on the opposite side with the utility knife. If you’re making small cuts, curved cuts, or cutouts for electrical boxes or light fixtures, you can use a manual jab saw to keep costs down, but an electric spiral saw or oscillating multi-tool will get the cleanest, fastest cuts possible.

With its breathability and flexibility, lime plaster is among the most durable of all plaster types. It's also fire-resistant and has a proven track record, as people have been using it for thousands of years.

However, all plaster types will last for many years with the right care and treatment. Proper preparation and installation will also help ensure your plaster walls look great for as long as possible.
