"Quality work at a fair price! I was very impressed with the work that Brandon and Nick did. They painted several ceilings for me, two of them which had water damage. They did an excellent job of matching the texture of the ceiling. It came out much better than I expected! They were very professional and were careful to cover all our belongings while painting. They also did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. I highly recommend Dynamic Drywall and Painting and will definitely use them again. They were a pleasure to work with! Great job guys!!!"

Small jobs welcome

"ALLserve did a great job repairing my garage walls which had been damaged in an accident. The quality was just superb! Patrick came within two hours of being contracted. He surveyed the damage and made an estimate which I accepted on the spot became of his reputation. The repairs were completed within three weeks. Kudos Patrick!"

Customers say: True professional

"Our painting work looks great!! Used this company to paint a large section of our home that includes living room, hallway, 2 story foyer, and upstairs hallway. Everyone is very personable and easy to work with! Chris always responds to texts/calls within minutes! Phil did an excellent job with the largest portion of the painting with tons of attention to detail! He even offered to remove the ugly surround sound speakers installed by the previous homeowner and did the drywall repair. There is NO paint anywhere it shouldn t be. We have 2 young kids and Phil and Jessica were beyond friendly and courteous to them also. Very thoughtful and talented people! Can t beat the price either!! We received multiple estimates for the same job and these guys deliver for a significantly better deal and get it done quickly! Before we met them, we were hesitant to hire because they don t have as many reviews on here as other companies and contractors... but they re definitely great! We ve rehired them now to put up and stain a fence for us in fact. Thanks PHIL, Chris, Jessica, and Stacey!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

There is no way to cut drywall without making dust, but you can reduce the amount of dust and especially the dangerous airborne particles by using manual cutting tools. Using a utility knife to score and snap your drywall will minimize dust production, and a jab saw for cutting cutouts for boxes and fixtures will generate almost no airborne dust. Even if you use these methods, you should still wear a respirator and safety goggles to avoid damage to your lungs and eyes.

Yes, taping inside corners is a critical step in the drywall installation process.  Properly taping inside corners is essential for achieving a professional look, and an installation that resists cracking and maintains its integrity over time. Taping the corners involves the application of a joint compound along the seam where two drywall pieces meet. This process provides reinforcement, conceals the seam, and prevents future gaps or cracks from developing.

The cost to skim coat drywall is $1.15 to $1.35 per square foot. Most of the cost is labor, for the necessary skills to apply the skim coat with precision using high-quality tools. This is a job better left to the professionals for the best outcomes.

The two most common drywall thicknesses for ceilings are 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch. For most standard residential applications, 1/2-inch drywall is sufficient and widely used. It provides adequate support and is lighter and easier to handle during installation compared to thicker sheets. However, 5/8-inch drywall is often used for specific cases where additional benefits are needed. It is heavier but provides superior sound dampening and fire resistance. You should consider using 5/8-inch drywall for ceilings in commercial buildings, between a garage and a living space, or above a finished basement to meet building codes or for enhanced soundproofing.

A local drywall contractor can texture your drywall for you. Drywall contractors are a better choice than general handy people because the contractors have a lot of experience working with drywall mud. The process is somewhat of an art thanks to the complexity of working with the mud, so call in a drywall pro who knows what they’re doing.
