"We were completely happy with the spray painting of our unfinished basement ceiling. Nik and Brandon showed up at the scheduled time. They worked efficiently: did a very good prep work, painting and clean up work. We were so pleased that we already lined up the next job with them drywalling and painting some walls in our basement. They have great work ethic and are very professional, respectful and polite."

Customers say: True professional

"Our painting work looks great!! Used this company to paint a large section of our home that includes living room, hallway, 2 story foyer, and upstairs hallway. Everyone is very personable and easy to work with! Chris always responds to texts/calls within minutes! Phil did an excellent job with the largest portion of the painting with tons of attention to detail! He even offered to remove the ugly surround sound speakers installed by the previous homeowner and did the drywall repair. There is NO paint anywhere it shouldn t be. We have 2 young kids and Phil and Jessica were beyond friendly and courteous to them also. Very thoughtful and talented people! Can t beat the price either!! We received multiple estimates for the same job and these guys deliver for a significantly better deal and get it done quickly! Before we met them, we were hesitant to hire because they don t have as many reviews on here as other companies and contractors... but they re definitely great! We ve rehired them now to put up and stain a fence for us in fact. Thanks PHIL, Chris, Jessica, and Stacey!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

While not always necessary, you can glue a drywall ceiling in addition to using screws or nails. Drywall is typically secured to ceiling joists with fasteners, which is often sufficient. However, adding construction adhesive can offer benefits like preventing sagging, bridging gaps, and reducing air leaks for better energy efficiency. It may also be used for specific acoustic or insulation needs. On the other hand, many professionals advise against it because properly placed screws make the drywall structural, glue doesn't add strength, and it makes future repairs or replacements significantly more difficult. Ultimately, it's best to follow local building codes and project-specific requirements to decide if adhesive is right for your ceiling.

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.

A local drywall contractor can texture your drywall for you. Drywall contractors are a better choice than general handy people because the contractors have a lot of experience working with drywall mud. The process is somewhat of an art thanks to the complexity of working with the mud, so call in a drywall pro who knows what they’re doing.

Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor depends on its type, material, and how it is removed. Plastic anchors, such as expansion or self-drilling types, are generally considered single-use because they are designed to expand and are likely to break or become deformed upon removal. Metal anchors, like toggle bolts, are more durable and can often be reused if they are not damaged during extraction. However, with toggle bolts, the toggle mechanism can fall inside the wall when the bolt is removed, making it difficult to retrieve. If an anchor is damaged or must be cut for removal, it cannot be reused regardless of its material.

While fumigation chemicals cannot pass through solid objects, they will seep into any openings in walls, doors, or other closed spaces. This allows them to get into tight places where pests may be hiding and causing damage, like termites ruining the foundation of your home. It also means that your home needs to ventilate for 48 hours before returning to ensure that no harmful chemicals remain in your space.
