"We would highly recommend Buckeye Improvements for roofing. The price was reasonable and Josh and George's experience was helpful through the process. "Adrian was fast and thorough from the beginning - from the quote, to scheduling and installation. We had to wait for better weather to add the gutters after installing the metal roof, but it was no problem. Can't control the weather. Price was right, installation team (s) - tear off, install, finish work and gutters, were all great. Underlayment is used between existing shingles and a new metal roof to prevent friction and wear from the shingle granules on the underside of the metal. The underlayment also helps prevent water intrusion and allows expansion and contraction without wearing away at the roofing material.

The ridge is the horizontal line where two sloping roof sections meet at the top, forming the highest point of the roof. A hip, on the other hand, is the external angle formed where two roof sections meet and slope downward toward the walls, typically at a lower angle than the ridge.
