6 Employees. No Subs. Cost Is Determined By The Job. When we started our company back in 1959, a home visit by an Aqua Systems sales representative was the most convenient way to discover the attributes of our products. But families today are a lot more time-starved. You may want the best quality water, but a 90-minute presentation in your living room is not necessarily the best use of your time.

"I purchased a very rural home in 2017 and found it had very hard water with lots of iron. Aqua Systems fixed everything. The home's water system was leased from a company that begins with "H". Their system constantly allowed iron to leak through ruining clothes. Bath and dish water would turn dark in just a few minutes. I bought Iron Out in bulk. They were out twice a month for 8 months trying to fix and tweek the system. "H" even replaced the both the softener and iron filter with no success. As a result, I contacted six different water treatment providers, brought them each into my home for water testing and sales pitches. I researched water treatment and read up from different extension offices. (University of Georgia and Penn State both have a lot of info online). I can tell you half the salesmen didn't know what they were talking about. Mike Jackson with Aqua Systems was the exception. He knew exactly what was going on and how to treat it. They also offered the latest technology in dealing with the iron. "H" had old school tech (potassium permanganate) which Lowes or Home Depot doesn't even sell anymore to maintain the system. Plus it is a harmful chemical. I was hesitant to purchase a system since I was burned by the lease from "H". I thought they had the answer when I signed a lease. I was able to get out of their lease since they didn't keep their end of the lease - they didn't provide good water. Aqua Systems gave me a lease with the option to buy. Try out their product and 100% satisfaction guarantee. It has been more than six months now and I could not be happier with our water. Not one problem with iron and a R/O system with incredible pressure. Trust me. I did all the research... I interviewed all the companies. You will be happy with Aqua Systems."

"They put in a new in-ground pool (16x36), concrete deck, automatic cover, and heater in 2022. Putting in a pool is painful. Period. Never having done it before, I didn't realize the number of potential issues (weather delays, supply backorders, defective equipment, etc.), and we started during the pandemic. Yes, communication could have been better, but (giving them the benefit of the doubt) they probably didn't always know when they were going to come out with the weather constantly changing, equipment being delayed over and over again, and other customer needs being more critical. At the end of the day, if it were not for Jeremiah, I would not have a pool (because without him, I would not have been willing to spend the amount of money many were asking, he was cost-effective when he put mine in). He did not really take any longer than anyone else would have during the pandemic. He did go periods without getting back to me, but in general, he was able to answer 85% of my calls and 95% of my texts on the first attempt and all eventually. Building a pool is a marathon, not a sprint. Patience is your friend. Update as of 10/13/2023 They put in a new in-ground pool (16x36), concrete deck, automatic cover, and heater in 2022. "GBR Masonry did an amazing job. We had a large patio and walkway that had cracked mortar and uneven bricks. When they finished two days later, it looked brand new. The original patio was installed in 1941. They did an amazing job of matching the mortar And attending to every detail. We could not be more pleased with the final result!"

"They walked me through over the phone modifying the tub settings to work with the weather we are having now and suggested what to do when the weather changes again. The instructions in the manual and on line were substantially less complete. The tub is working like a charm. They provided great service in a timely fashion. I will call again when I have another issue."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Hot tub heaters typically last seven to 10 years, though some might only last five years if not properly maintained. You can maximize your hot tub heater’s lifespan by ensuring the water’s pH level is properly balanced.

Most newer hot tubs are not expensive to maintain. Hot tub maintenance costs about $500 to $1,000 per year. You can DIY, but a pro can clean and treat your hot tub with chemicals and save you time. The biggest hot tub expenses are heating and repairs, but you can preserve your investment with regular maintenance.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.

Yes. If you test the water and the alkalinity is too low, you can raise it by adding an alkalinity increaser, which likely came with your hot tub’s chemical kit. In a pinch, you can use baking soda to raise the hot tub’s alkalinity. Raising the alkalinity will prevent the hot tub water from becoming too acidic.

You should drain your hot tub three to four times a year to give it a thorough cleaning. This should take about an hour, but it depends on the size of your tub.
