"Great! They arrived within an hour, and had everything done in about 30 minutes. Charged a little over $300 (another plumber wanted to charge between $400 and $500). The guy was courteous, professional, and cleaned everything up."

"So I have been struggling with a cracked tub for a while. I contacted so many companies and plumbers to get this done and finally I talked to Mike the owner of EasyBath. They were an answer to my prayers. They immed came out to give me a quote and within a week my tub was scheduled to be replaced a week later. Tim and his son came to my house and completed the job in 2 days. I now have a beautiful tub and surround wall with all new plumbing and a lifetime warranty. I am so very pleased with the work and really enjoyed meeting Tim. He was so full of knowledge on so many things and was very helpful to this single mother. I definitely recommend this company and their whole team for your bathtub replacement. They are able to get it done and done probably in a short period of time."

"Phil and Mickey were awesome! They worked as a team and were persistent as they problem-solved my septic system issue. They were very friendly and listened as I explained the steps I had taken prior to their arrival. I called three other plumbing services with no response. Peter's answered right away and promised they would be out to help that same day. I am very pleased with the work these guys did. I got a little break in the cost with my Angie's List discount."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

A small trickle with drops every three seconds is enough to relieve pressure and ensure there is movement in your pipes. The cost to run a drip is minimal, usually less than $1 a month. The potential savings from flooding and water damage in your home could be in the thousands.

The P-trap is an essential part of the shower drain and is installed directly below it. It mainly functions as a barrier, preventing sewer gases and their odors from seeping into your bathroom. It also helps catch clogs so they don’t end up deeper in your home’s plumbing, where they’re more difficult to remove.

Pipes should be inspected regularly so you can catch any red flags early on. Common issues that you might run into with your pipes include clogs, damage like cracks and leaks, corrosion, or other signs of wear. When you stay on top of an inspection schedule, you'll avoid costly problems like burst pipes.

A toilet flapper will remain open when the chain that it is connected to is too short. The chain should lift the flapper just enough to allow it to open the rest of the way on its own. The chain should have just about half an inch of slack.

A standard toilet flange should fit snugly into the outflow pipe and sit level with the subfloor. Installing a new one without first removing the old one will make it impossible to form a seal and keep the toilet bowl bolted securely in place.

However, if you’re dealing with leakage or wobbling because you’ve installed a new type of bathroom tile (making the floor taller), you may be able to avoid fully replacing the flange by opting for a toilet flange extender. Extenders typically come in kits for easy DIY installation, fit over the existing flange, and bring the drain connection higher.
