"I contacted Grant's Tree Service and Paul was able to come out the next day to give us a quote. He offered us 3 different options on what we could do with our giant silver maple tree. We ended up deciding to have the tree removed. Grant's tree service came out in the time frame in which he mentioned. Paul kept in contact with us beforehand and followed up afterwards. I am very pleased with their work and their professionalism. I would definitely use them again."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Codey and his crew showed up on time. They were friendly and respectful. The Ramsey & Family Tree Service got down to businees and removed a leaning large pine tree from going down on my neighbors house. They were professional and quick! I would highly recommend these guys to anyone!!!! I plan on having them do more work in the future. They were reasonably priced too! Stevie Callahan"

"Total of five trees taken down. Tree Assassin did an excellent job cutting and lowering the trees to the ground using his expertise to manipulate the trees into the desired fall zones. Work was completed in just a few hours. Austin Varner was friendly and professional throughout the process."

Small jobs welcome

"Ralph did a phenomenal job. Removed one tree and trimmed another very large tree at the river bank. Cleanup was superb with nothing left. We will definitely be calling Ralph again to take care of other trees in the near future."

"Precision Tree did a wonderful job taking down our 43 year old Silver Maple tree. They were very professional and showed up on time as promised even though it was only in the teens they spent 6 hours out in the cold. We still need to have the stump removed which they will be coming back to do. I would definitely recommend Precision Tree Service."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The speed of your tree root removal process depends on a few different factors, including the size and type of tree. However, the fastest method of killing tree roots is applying chemical herbicide, which starts working quickly and efficiently. But this removal method has its drawbacks, such as having a negative effect on the surrounding vegetation and landscaping. Other options like rock salt and stump grinding work relatively quickly and cause less damage to your yard.

White vinegar does not kill ivy on trees because its acetic acid concentration is not high enough to overpower it. Vinegar is an effective herbicide for weeds and other plants, but not for the strength of most ivies, including poison ivy and English ivy. You should use an herbicide to kill ivy, such as one with glyphosate, imazapyr, or triclopyr.

Whether you should remove the roots of a dead tree depends on whether they’re damaging nearby areas. For instance, if the roots continue to grow near sidewalks, driveways, or the foundation of your home, they can cause damage. If you want to plant something else in that spot, removing the roots can make it easier for the new tree or plant to grow.

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.

Debris removal is often included in the overall cost of having a tree removed from your property. However, tree maintenance service companies do not always include debris removal in their pricing, so ask any contractors offering tree trimming cost estimates whether or not removal is included. If you want to keep the wood mulch, ask if they charge extra for it as well.
