"Raj & his partner were prompt, communicated clearly, and did an excellent job. They installed 3 pendant lights without any difficulty as well as installed 4 dimmers. I could not recommend Allmub Around Electric more. Most of all you can trust his professional opinion and his ability to complete the job well!"

"After reaching out to them on Angieslist, Blaze Electric called me within minutes. Impressive. Next they came to my house when promised and were friendly, professional, and courteous, even funny at times. The work was high quality and skilled. My only complaint was the price was outrageous. They charged $299 for 15 minutes of work. That is $20 per minute. Ouch. But again well done work."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Brooklyn residents should schedule annual inspections with a licensed electrician to check for worn wiring, loose connections, and outdated panels. Test GFCI outlets every three months, replace smoke detector batteries yearly, and inspect outdoor wiring after storms. Following these preventative maintenance steps for electrical work in Brooklyn helps prevent outages, reduces repair costs, and keeps your home safe.

Helpful?

In Brooklyn, homeowners often face issues like outdated knob-and-tube wiring, overloaded panels due to increased appliance use, and improper grounding. These problems can lead to frequent circuit breaker trips and even electrical fires. Promptly hiring a licensed electrician for electrical work in Brooklyn helps address these risks and ensures your home meets current safety standards.

Helpful?

Electrical work in Brooklyn must comply with the New York City Electrical Code, enforced by the Department of Buildings and overseen by the Fire Department of New York. Permits are required for most projects, and only a licensed electrician can submit applications. Inspections by city officials are mandatory to ensure code compliance and safety, helping homeowners avoid fines and potential hazards.

Helpful?

Many Brooklyn homes benefit from upgrading to 200-amp service panels, installing GFCI and AFCI outlets, and replacing aluminum or cloth-insulated wiring. These upgrades support high-demand appliances, improve overall energy efficiency, and help meet local code requirements. Consulting a licensed electrician ensures your electrical work in Brooklyn is future-ready and compliant with city regulations.

Helpful?

Brooklyn's older housing stock often features aging wiring that can't handle modern electrical loads, making homes vulnerable to power surges and fire hazards. Homeowners should have a licensed electrician assess wiring age, recommend surge protection devices, and consider panel upgrades. Proactively addressing these issues during electrical work in Brooklyn protects both your electronics and your home's safety.
