Total cost was approximate 2200. Ed and his crew made the job smooth, and stress free. The office took care of the permits and inspection. The work was done and the crew was able to give me a walk through so I can understand what was done and things to do to keep everything running efficient. I would highly recommend and I will be calling for any future issues in my apartment / house. Thank you once again for the excellent work and professionalism. Ed

As a Building & General Contractor myself Newgrange electric is one of my best electrical sub contractors. Eddie the owner is very hard working. Always reliable, extremely professional and maintains an office manager Nicole who knows what's going on, on all their projects so you always have someone to contact during business hours. Eddies crew is based of long time employees that are very knowledgeable in there work. Eddie will always get back to you even after business hours, which is not the norm for many vendors. Excellent job. The owner was able to diagnose the problem with our generator. He made a sound recording and video documenting the problem and sent it to the generator company enabling us to receive new parts under the warranty. Mr. Byrne then installed those parts and fixed the generator. We have since used New Grange for all our electrical needs.

I hired newgrange to rewire the lights in my living room and to add an outlet for a bathroom hallway light. The work was exceedingly sloppy, they left gaping holes in the ceilings and walls, dining room and hallway lights are COMPLETELY off center, the switches are in the center of the walls (versus being on the side), which i had to pay someone else $$$$ to come in and fix my ceilings, as well as recenter the light fixtures and move the switches. they also messed up my wood floors, scratches everywhere. I raised that issue to them and they paid for 50% of the cost of having the floors redone (which was not in my original budget). They ended up taking 2x the time to get the work done, which was essentially double the cost, not factoring in what i had to pay to get someone to fix their work and the floors. Never again.

"We are very sorry you feel this way and can't understand why you waited over 3 years to write us a bad review. When you called us about the damage to your floor we promptly accepted responsibility and offered to send someone to fix the scratches, however you would not allow that. We had no proof that it was [Member Information Removed]% our fault, as there were other contractors working there as well, but we gave you back a credit of over half what you said it cost towards repairs. It was also agreed that the holes we had to make in your walls to snake wiring between lights, switches, and outlets were to be repaired by others, that we would only apply the first coat of patch. See the wording from the original Proposal #12677, dated 6/25/2014. See items #11 & 12 explaining about patching and repairing from the agreed proposal that you approved. We also sent one of our electricians back to fix the switches that were not level. You never said anything about problems with the lights in the emails you sent us. We are not sure what you mean by "the switches are in the center of the walls (versus being on the side)." Generally switches are positioned by the doors unless there is structural material there that would not allow us to do so or if the customer asks us to place them elsewhere. As for the cost, we gave you a daily rate and an estimate of 1-2 days to complete the work. It took 2 days, so it was not double the cost. It was 2 x the daily rate to which you agreed. Line items from original proposal: 1. Install, wire and connect (4 or 6) new recessed fixture locations in living room 2. Supply and install new 4" LED trims 3. Convert existing switch box controlling existing living room light into a 2-gang box and install new dimmer switch to control new recessed fixtures; install new switch leg as needed 4. Install, wire and connect for new light location above dining room table 5. Install, wire and connect new switch to control above 6. Install customer supplied fixture 7. Install, wire and connect new switch to control existing closet hallway fixture location 8. Install customer supplied replacement fixture [Member Information Removed]. Cut and notch walls / ceilings as needed to install new wiring 10. Change outlets and switch as directed with new devices 11. Apply first coat of patch 12. Final repairs of patching and painting to be done by others"

The work was completed when expected. As we had certain issues with the tub we could not even test the work he had done for us until the work was done with the tub. That took a bit over 8 months before everything was done. We let Eddie know we were going to test the tub; he let me know he was available should we need him. We did not need him. The work he completed for us was excellent. Our tub turned on without a problem.

The battery needed to be replaced. They replaced it immediately for no additional cost. A week or so later we lost power in a storm and the generator kicked it they way it should. I called to thank them for their prompt service.

The estimate was a little more than other estimates but the work was done perfectly. We admired the professionalism of this group and the hands on attitude of the owner. The owner came back and inspected the work of his workers. no problems since and we would use him again.

Fantastic job! The two technicians, Helmo and Marlon, were the hardest working guys I ever met. They worked almost non-stop for 7 hours, to complete this job. They were perfectionists and neat as a pin. It looks GREAT and works perfectly, I couldn't be happier! I plan to use Newgrange again at my business for some electrical upgrades. They are fairly priced for the quality of work they do. Would highly recommend!

I've used Newgrange for all the electrical work I needed done in our house and my daughter's apartment since they installed a generator, in our house, about 3 years ago. We've lived in this house for 43 years and we've used a lot of electricians in the past. Newgrange is by far the best. They always do what they say they would do and they do it when they say they will do it. They are always professional. They always clean up when they finish. I would highly recommend using them to do electrical work.
