Roger did an amazing job of putting things in order, correcting a few decades-old issues in our Cobble Hill house before we rented it out two years ago and helping in crucial matters concerning combining two apartments in Brooklyn Bridge Park. He is extremely careful, very resourceful and amazingly neat in his work. He is creative in solving difficult problems - which in a 177-year-old brownstone is hugely helpful. His approach to electrical work is admirable: his planning, communication and execution is extremely thorough. On top of that he is a really nice guy! I give him my highest recommendation.

Roger certainly is the way to go for electrical work. He is punctual, meticulous, efficient. You don't realize he is here working until he tells you that all is done. And the areas where he did work are spotlessly clean after he leaves. I do not like strange people working in my house but felt totally at ease with Roger and his co-worker. I would gladly utilize them again and wholeheartedly recommend their services.

I can’t say enough good things about Roger and the work he does. Due to a water leakage problem into our electrical service panel, several circuit breakers malfunctioned, cutting off power to portions of our house. Roger (who we have used before) showed up when promised, replaced the broken circuit breakers, relocated them to areas of the panel that had experienced less water damage, and even caulked the exterior where the power lines enter the house in order to prevent future leaks. He worked quickly and professionally and was pleasant throughout the job, and he charged a very reasonable fee for all of the work that he performed. We plan to have him back to upgrade our entire service panel, and we highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work!

Roger & Bill (Bill came and did the work) were absolutely the best, this is the 3rd or 4th time I had Roger de Electric do work for me and I would use again if the need arised. Bill was neat, clean, friendly and knew exactly what needed to be done and how to get it done in the most efficient manner.

This project ultimately went very well, but it was not an easy one. Roger and his colleague had to remove sections of the old gas lines from the 100-plus-year-old light sockets in our home. You know, the ones for the gas-powered lamps that everyone uses nowadays... They also had to widen the holes in two fragile, old-timey ceiling medallions without destroying them. Then, they had to construct braces that attach each fan to a beam in the ceiling so neither fan would ever crash to the floor. Only at that point could normal installation begin (yes, I said *begin*)... The whole process took around four hours! Through it all, these two gentlemen were consummate professionals. They were very knowledgeable, and also displayed good judgment and good humor. The next time we need electrical work done, we’ll call Roger De Electric. And speaking of calling this company, we want to lavish some praise on the office manager (Barbara, I think?) as well. She was extremely pleasant and helpful. So much so that she probably deserves a raise...

great - outside light has not been working in years.after opening up wall and rewiring,Roger plastered and cleaned up any mess that was made. after seeing how much time and work that had to be done I got a great deal.

Roger was great. He inspected house wiring in the kitchen that controlled the fan switch and wires to the fan. He even helped out to pick up ceiling fan that I purchased at and sent to Lowes for in store pick up. New fan installed in no time and old fan taken apart. Thank you!

We needed a delicate light fixture installed in our dining room, and based on the great reviews I read here, I chose Roger De Electric. What can I say? Roger was extremely professional and did a flawless job. He also changed a few light bulbs of fixtures that were too high for us to reach. Even though this wasn't part of the original job, he was very gracious about it. Roger was very patient and worked very methodically and neatly to complete the job. We are very happy with his work and would hire him again without hesitation.

He's brilliant--everything you want from a contractor. Fine, decent human you enjoy having in your home. Smart about the job. Prompt. Neat. Knowledgeable!!!! Clever at work-arounds...how to extend electric in a room where there aren't enough outlets (130-year-old brownstone) and at finding and fixing old wiring errors (like the non-grounded ceiling fixtures in my tin ceiling--the sort of thing that could some day have fried somebody who touched the tin). Among things he's done: • Asked whether a very old fuse box should be replaced (would have meant a big $$$ windfall for him), suggested it'd be fine to leave well enough alone. • Turned dark cellar where no wiring had been done since, maybe, almost since original electrical work was installed, into a safe, well-lighted space--not overly expensive at all. • After putting up new ceiling fans, worked to put my antique light shades in--turns out they don't quite fit, and it would have been easy to just give up on the old shades, but Roger & Co. stuck to it and the shades are now in use. • And more. All at a cost I'd say was moderate and appropriate.

Excellent! Consicering all that they did they were very reasonably priced. My husband is especially very happy that we were able to find a trustworthy and honest electrician. Thanks Roger and team! You guys saved Christmas!!!!

Roger came to the house to give me an estimate, and he gave me good advice instead. He said that the job would be quite expensive, and the problem would continue to occur over time. Rather than convincing me to do a costly repair, he gave me a much less expensive option that would solve the problem just as well. I was extremely impressed with his honesty and integrity, and I would definitely use him for any work in the future that I might have, as well as recommend him most highly to anyone else I know who might need electrical work done.
