"Charged $2,000 (that's right, $2,000!) to install a new sprayer faucet and soap dispenser in Boston. $1,500 went to labor, which took less than 2 hours. I'm sorry, but $750/hr is outrageous. I did pay it because I wanted to expedite solving the problem for the tenants, but I now regret as their dishwasher is not working and I suspect the plumber failed to reconnect everything probably."

"Badly. 2 different techs came out. We paid for a Premium service and within hours of that tech coming out, our burner stopped working completely. Mind you there is a snowstorm. They sent out a new technician and he saw nothing wrong with the system at all. He said we had no oil. He said there was no footprints even going to my intake on the side of my house. It had snowed 2 times since oil was delivered, so that makes no sense. The tech was absolutely sure we had no oil. 3 days since the first visit now and we had oil delivered and the tank filled completely. Only 150 gallons went into my 250 gallon tank. So that's wrong. And I look at the front of my furnace and now see a slow drip from the front underneath the box on the front of the furnace. First tech recommended i replace the electrodes but said it didnt need it. Second tech didnt even mention that and said our system was good. Now, I will have to contact Angi for support and my insurance company. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE"

"I decided to get a quote from Heritage since my plumber wasn't available. They came to my house and quoted to replace two faucets at just under $2,000.00 (this included 2 Kohl faucets basic type, nothing fancy). They also wanted me to sign up for annual service at an additional charge. After I almost had a heart attack the cost, I declined their offer and said I think I need to look further. Finally, my original plumber was available. I bought the 2 faucets from home depot for $250.00. My plumber installed the 2 faucets, repaired an issue with my kitchen sink as well as install a new toilet for the total price of $225.00. If your smart, find someone else! I don't recommend this company unless you want to be raked over the coals."

"With the latest job John and his team completed for us, I am now able to say that for the better part of two decades, the electrical work needs of four generations of my family have been completed by 4th Generation Electric. As John and I were catching up before the install of our transfer switch and generator hook up, he recalled when we first met almost 20 years ago. From that time forward, he and his teams have completed work for my family that spanned from outlet installation and replacement, wiring our full new build construction home, inclusive of aiding with the installation of the power line from the street (which was 700 feet away from the house), outside patio electrical work for an elaborate tiered landscape, generator hook up requirements, among other things. Just as our electrical needs grew over time, and John and 4th Generation Electric have as well, the same level of attention to detail, focus on customer satisfaction, and not only the desire to strive for perfection but the expectation to do so, has been the standard that he knows not only his customers expect but that he expects for himself and his teams. It’s easy to write a review like this when it writes itself. If you have any sort of electrical work needs, big or small, you’d be doing yourself a disservice not asking John for a quote."

"I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service provided by McGinley & Sons. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue, I have yet to receive the promised refund for work that was never completed. As a cancer survivor undergoing surveillance scans, the refund would greatly assist in covering my medical expenses. The lack of response and follow-through has added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. In addition to this, I had to hire a lawyer to recover my down payment, which cost me additional money. Moreover, he did not offer to compensate me for the extra expenses, including hiring an electrician to install a wire for the heat pump he could not install. Despite repeated attempts to have the deposit returned, I finally received it after engaging legal assistance. I hope this review will encourage McGinley & Sons to address this matter promptly and fairly."

"Despite there being no surprises at the work site, the final bill was 40% higher than quoted ($5,710 vs $4070). Reason given: they had underestimated the job. They also pointed out the final bill included "optional charges" that had been in the small print. But were not really optional and, in fact, I was never asked if I wanted or not. I asked for a discount and was given a token $250 off. I will also add they said something like "This is why we have clients sign the quote is only an estimate," implying they have gotten this complaint in the past. As far as I can tell, their work was good and they seem like good people, but be aware if you go with them you can expect the bill to be significantly higher than the quote."

"This is my second experience with Joyce Plumbing and Heating. The first time was a new hot water tank. When you have your local city inspector tell you during inspection of the tank installation that "oh, Joyce did it? Then I don't even need to look at the installation...". That was a ringing endorsement!! We then moved to a mini-split heating/cooling system for our house. These guys were just terrific. We had 3 units put into our house and the team worked flawlessly.
