"The job went very well. They are locally owned and operated, not a franchise. The team was professional and friendly. They were very efficient and did all of the work as promised and in the frame they estimated. The owner supervised and worked on the more difficult parts of the job (upholstery and marble grout). They removed most of twenty years worth of grime from the arm chairs and ottomans. The oriental rug came back with the vibrant colors restored and sealed with a protective coat. They were not the least expensive alternative but the end results made me happy that I opted for quality over price. I would definitely use their services again."

Thinset mortar is the best adhesive for ceramic tiles on concrete. It is easy to work with and has a slower dry time than mastic or epoxy mortars. It can also be built up to help level any depressions or gaps in the concrete subfloor.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

Getting it wrong can result in uneven tiles and early repairs.
