"Excellent work and excellent response time. Romulo showed us why the old concrete cracked and we put in a thicker pad with some fiberglass mesh to prevent the new section from cracking and also used a higher grade concrete. Work was done within a week of my call to him, and went very well. I would highly recommend his company to anyone that needs concrete work done."

"William did an outstanding job on constructing brick steps in the rear of my garage. He completed the job in less than three hours. It was a small job. It is usually difficult to find anyone to do something like this. He took pride in his work."

"communication with the staff was pretty lousy. But once work began everything seemed good. My only issue was we were told that an inspector would come out and check work for and remove the building permit of the door, and they would send pictures of the work they did that never happened. We are still having the same problems. Plus the vapor barrier was destroyed and wanted us to pay to replace it. we thought it was new pretty much. Bottom line we never saw the inspector."

"Very professional. Was very patient with me about my timing. After 4 companies quotes and personalities I chose AquaDry. I actually went to sight and watched them. They do not use heavy equipment. Excavation is done manually to control the dig. Wires, drainage and where footings actually are. Instead of all the mess and cost of digging up around the entire foundation. Thank You!"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

In High Point, hidden costs can emerge from discovering deeper foundation issues, the need for specialized brick matching in older homes, or addressing drainage problems caused by clay soil. Additional expenses may include temporary shoring for safety, weather-related delays, or bringing existing structures up to current building codes. Factoring in these possibilities helps homeowners avoid surprises and ensures a smoother masonry project experience.

Helpful?

In High Point, urgent masonry work includes leaning brick walls, widening cracks, or loose stonework—especially after heavy rainfall or freeze-thaw cycles common in the area. Signs like water intrusion or shifting foundations, often due to local clay soil, require prompt attention. Minor mortar repointing, surface stains, or hairline cracks in non-structural areas can typically wait until drier summer or early fall conditions.

Helpful?

In High Point, begin spring by inspecting for winter freeze damage and clearing debris from weep holes and gutters. Summer is ideal for scheduling brick repair or mortar repointing, as dry weather helps materials cure. In fall, check for settling around foundations and seal any gaps before colder months. Winter calls for monitoring indoor humidity and watching for new cracks from temperature swings, ensuring year-round masonry health.

Helpful?

In High Point, well-maintained masonry—such as restored chimneys, fresh brickwork, or updated retaining walls—can noticeably enhance curb appeal, especially in historic neighborhoods. Buyers value properties with solid foundations and attractive outdoor features like patios or walkways. Addressing moisture control and energy efficiency through proper masonry work also appeals to local buyers, making your home stand out in the High Point market.

Helpful?

In High Point, crumbling mortar joints, brick spalling, or white efflorescence typically indicate masonry repair is needed. If you notice large horizontal cracks, bowing walls, or significant foundation settling, a structural assessment may be necessary. Persistent dampness in basements could point to drainage or waterproofing issues. Because local clay soil can mimic masonry problems, a professional evaluation helps clarify the right repair approach.
