Customers say: Quick response

"When I called to inquire about spray foam insulation I was pleasantly surprised to be educated on the differences between fiberglass insulation and spray foam. The customer service was fantastic and easy to schedule an appointment for an estimate. They even showed up early for the estimate and weâ re kind and courteous. When the insulation was installed the installers took delicate care of items in my home to make sure that they were protected and did a fantastic job. After the job was complete they made sure that the entire area was clean and tidy before leaving. I would highly recommend Hunter Green Foam for anyone who has foam insulation needs!"

"I like the product so far. It is insulation so I will not know the full effectiveness for awhile. Installation was fine.a little mess, but this a very messy product by nature. My biggest concerns were all related to customer service and communication. Promises to call me tomorrow really meant never. Sales side of the company and the install side did not coordinate effectively..so my install appt had to be rescheduled. When the e-billing came, there was nothing on the invoice allowing me to pay..no address, no phone#, No pay here button, etc. It was just clearly a company living in disorganization. Even the company truck had out of date license plates. I think the product will be good and the value is solid. Just be very clear in your communication expectations if you choose this company."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

For insulation projects in High Point, select low-VOC or natural materials to minimize indoor air quality concerns. Before work begins, set up physical barriers and post clear signage to keep children and pets away from the workspace. After installation, thoroughly clean any dust or debris and ventilate the area. Consider using insulation with recycled content for a safer, eco-friendly home environment.

Helpful?

High Point homes built before 1980 often lack adequate insulation. Warning signs include high utility bills, uneven temperatures between rooms, persistent humidity, or visible gaps in attic insulation. Drafts around windows or outlets, cold floors, or frequent pest issues also indicate the need for upgrades. A professional energy audit or thermal imaging can pinpoint where insulation improvements will have the most impact.

Helpful?

In High Point’s humid climate, closed-cell spray foam is ideal for moisture control and air sealing, especially in crawl spaces. Fiberglass batts with vapor retarders work well in attics and walls, while blown-in cellulose suits older homes with irregular cavities. Aim for R-38 or higher in attics and R-13 to R-15 in walls, and consider radiant barriers to reduce heat gain during summer.

Helpful?

Upgrading insulation in High Point homes helps maintain steady indoor temperatures during humid summers and chilly winters, reducing hot or cold spots. Enhanced insulation also lowers energy bills, dampens outside noise, and controls humidity, which can help prevent mold. Improved air sealing and insulation boost indoor air quality, making your living spaces more comfortable and healthier year-round.

Helpful?

New homeowners in High Point should prioritize attic insulation to address heat loss and gain. Next, insulate crawl spaces or basements to prevent moisture and improve comfort. Sealing and insulating ductwork is crucial if ducts pass through unconditioned areas. Assess exterior wall insulation, especially in older homes, and add weather stripping or caulking to windows and doors to eliminate drafts.
