  • Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Greensboro
I am very happy with the work performed by Champion. Job is not complete because one window came in broken, that is expected to be in in a week or so. Also the electrician has some work to perform, I have no doubt that all this work will be done as soon as they get the parts. This is the 2nd sunporch Champion has built for me. I was very happy with the first or I would not have got them for the 2nd, Vincent Regan was my salesman, whom I was very satisfied with. The installation crew did a very good job, and I am very happy with my new sunroom. I would most definitely recommend Champion to anyone

  • Triad Installations
Overall, it was a very good experience. They fit us into their busy summer schedule. We had a deadline to be finished by, and they made the deadline! When was the last time you heard that about a contractor? They gave us an estimate ahead of time and that was the price we paid, not a penny more. The sub contractors know what they are doing and perform their jobs despite unbearable heat and no shade! I would recommend them to everyone. We are still fairly new to the area, and Rich talked us through the entire process, from sending us to look at showroom samples to finishing details. They are THE MOST REASONABLY priced in the TRIAD AREA! Believe me, I checked. They will do the job you hire them to do

We had several deck companies and general contractors submit designs and proposals for the addition of a screened in porch off the back of our home. Marlon was right in line with the other estimates, but blew away the competition in terms of the amount of time he spent with us, his attention to detail, and his flexibility in meeting our budget and functional needs. We had to get HOA approval and Marlon was very helpful in putting together the required documentation including modifying his plans where needed. We wanted to get the porch framed/screened in right away and then complete the finishing items the next spring (trim, paint, fan, lights, floor, etc). A couple of the contractors we talked to were flat out unwilling to be flexible in this regard. Marlon didn't hesitate and instead, he walked us through what needed to be done up front and what could wait including a detailed breakdown of costs for a couple different options. Marlon was extremely professional and truly a pleasure to work with. The crew showed up on schedule and worked hard over the course of a couple of weeks to complete the work. We were kept informed of any changes and questions along the way. The crew was very professional and left the work-site clean at the end of each day. My wife was home most of the time with our small children and was somewhat concerned about having a bunch of people coming and going every day. The crew (led by Marlon's brother) could not have been more friendly and considerate and quickly made her feel comfortable being at home alone. The work was completed as planned, on time, and on budget. Marlon even took care of several things that came up along the way at no additional charge. They were flexible in making some changes along the way even though I know it must have resulted in some re-work. We needed them to complete the work before Thanksgiving as we were expecting guests. Near the end of the project, they worked late and came out on the weekend to make sure it got done in time. We love our new outdoor space and can't wait for warmer weather. Do yourself a favor and have Marlon come out to sit with you and talk through a design. Then you can rest assured that he will deliver

  • Deck Specialist & Outdoor Living
I had a 20x12 deck off the back of the house (~8-9 feet off the ground) with a concrete slab underneath. I contracted with Marlon to convert the deck into a three season room and wall-in the slab area underneath (to be used as a workshop). He also built a small deck adjacent to the three season room, with a latticed storage area underneath. The windows are Eze-Breeze vinyl windows with screens behind them. The window panels slide/lift up to make it an open air room. The floor was tiled, primarily to seal the workshop space underneath the room from any moisture that may enter the room. The ceiling is pine paneling. Marlon and his crew did all the work except the roofing, which he contracted out, and the electrician, whom he selected but had me deal with directly. The electrician installed the fan/light I picked out and all the wiring and lighting upstairs and down. The project started in September and ended in December. Overall I am pleased with the work he did and he is a reasonable person to deal with. I liked the fact that he did not have a lot of overhead (staff, showroom, etc) and did his best to keep my costs down, so I got good value. I would definitely call him again if I have any deck-related projects. The main reason I gave a B for quality (would have given a B+/A- if I could) was due to electrical. The electrical work was not great, and I would have preferred not to coordinate the electrical work myself. The placement of the fan/light switch is not desirable and kind of an eyesore. It was apparently a mis-communication between the electrician and Marlon. Marlon did his best to improve its appearance after the fact, which I appreciate

Incredibly well Shane displayed skill and a touch of genius. We had communicated by phone and text message. Shane explained that there are no exterior doors available that are in 23 inch size. If I could find a door manufacturer who would accept a special order that could take months and cost a small fortune. Most likely companies who manufacture doors would not accept a special order for a size they don't make. Shane showed up for the job with all the materials he needed to repair the door. Please see the included before and after photos ..
