"Steam Source is superior all around. The technicians were very professional and arrived early after giving us a call. They worked for nearly 3-4 hours cleaning all that we had asked, including the area rug I had forgotten about. They did a marvelous job getting out as many stains as possible, given that we haven't had carpets or furniture cleaned in probably 20 years! Everything looks brand new and so bright. I can't recommend Steam Source enough and will definitely call them again."

"Rob is absolutely a wonderful person Very reliable What else to say accept that, He And his crew, we're totally awesome. , Great personalities, hard workers. They did a fantastic job on my place. I absolutely love it. I recommend them at five star plus 5 more highest of all highs. , In I feel as though they went above and beyond their duties to make sure that I was totally Happy with the way the floors looked when they were done.. Byron and Alan, we're very clonsiderate, moving my things and moving them back into place, haven't had any workers come in my home and work like that. Ever, those 2 are A great team and Very hard-working men. Keep up the good work you guys and yes, I will have you back to finish the rest of the trailer. Thank you so very much for the fine work that you've done. God bless you and stay safe."

"Our water heater busted, flooding our bedroom, forcing us to move into our baby’s nursery who was due to arrive in just a few short weeks. After fixing the water heater and tearing up the carpet I started making phone calls to many different businesses who were all very monotoned professionals who didn’t give a hoot about our situation. Upon contacting Floor Coverings International I was immediately met with a very personable employee who worked with us and made us feel at ease. The carpet was measured, picked out, and installed within a weeks time giving us enough time to move out of our sons nursery and back into ours before he arrived. We now have a very handsome son and we are so blessed to have had such an amazing company to have worked with. I would give this company a recommendation to every friend and family member I have, they were wonderful."

"Things looked good right after they left but I later noticed white spots on my car, stains on concrete that didnâ t come up after the garage floor dried, a torn patio cushion. I had to replace my patio cushions because they did not come clean. They are a friendly company but attention to detail needs improvement."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

In High Point, it’s smart to schedule carpet installation in cooler months to avoid high humidity, which can affect adhesives. Homes with crawl spaces often benefit from subfloor moisture barriers. Check with your HOA for flooring guidelines, and ensure your HVAC system is running during installation for proper ventilation. Local installers are familiar with area construction and can recommend the best carpet padding for your home’s needs.

Helpful?

New carpet installation in High Point often enhances your home’s resale appeal, especially when using neutral, durable materials that appeal to a wide range of buyers. Consistent flooring throughout the home creates a cohesive look, and moisture-resistant carpets are a plus in NC’s climate. Professional installation and upgraded carpet padding can further boost buyer confidence and help your home stand out in the market.

Helpful?

High Point homeowners are gravitating toward textured loop pile carpets for living areas and plush, soft carpets for bedrooms. Popular flooring trends include subtle patterns and neutral tones like taupe and greige, which complement local décor styles. Many residents choose stain-resistant and moisture-resistant carpets, especially in homes with kids or pets, and often upgrade carpet padding for added comfort and durability.

Helpful?

For carpet installation in High Point, keep a knee kicker, carpet tucker, utility knife, and seaming iron for any adjustments. A HEPA vacuum and carpet spot cleaner are essential for regular maintenance. Using a dehumidifier and moisture meter helps protect your carpet from NC’s humidity, while carpet protectors and antimicrobial sprays can extend the life of your flooring in high-traffic areas.

Helpful?

In High Point, most single-room carpet installations are finished within 2–4 hours, while a typical home of 1,000–1,500 square feet takes 1–2 days. Larger homes or those with older subfloors may require extra time for leveling or moisture barrier installation. Scheduling during drier months helps adhesives set properly, so consider local weather when planning your project timeline.
