"I went on Angie's List to see which pool service provider had the best ratings. Though I traditionally have used the same contractor that installed my pool, I decided to go with the provider that had the highest ratings on Angie's List. Happily, I was very happy with the service provided. Last fall, Scott the owner sent out some employees to measure the precisely measure the pool. In the early Spring, AquaHaven (AH) came back to make sure the measurements were correct. AH sent me information via e-mail as to the different styles and types of liners that they carried. I scheduled AH to come back in the Spring do install the liner. AH set up a sump pump the day before installation to drain the pool. It took approximately 10 hours to drain 18,000 gallons. The pump was submerged and had a cut off switch so I really did not have to do anything. Two highly skilled and professional workers showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. the next day and finished draining the pool. They then worked quickly to remove the old liner, prepare the metal sides and redo the flooring and walls of the pool. Some of the pool floor and walls had deteriorated over the past 12 years so the workers quickly redid the entire damaged services leaving the pool floor and walls smooth. The new vinyl liner was then put in place. The workers were careful not to damage the pool floor which they had just repaired. Once the liner was put in place, they put in vacuum blowers to remove any excess air and began filling the pool with water. They then cleaned up completely hauling away the old liner, debris and any equipment they had brought. After filling the pool floor with sufficient water to cover the first steps, AH came back the next day to remove the vacuum blowers. The pool is now completely filled with water and is beautiful. The pool liner cost approximately $1,500 and the labor, other material and tax ran around $2,700. This was similar in cost to other contractors. Scott, the owner, checked with me by phone the next day to see if everything was okay. I believe AH provided excellent service and an excellent product. I would highly recommend them for this type of work in the future.
"I was extremely pleased with the recent work that RB Landscaping performed for us. They provided a creative design for a patio on our sloping yard and closed in an area underneath our porch. The schedule they provided was on time and efficiently done. The work crew was professional, efficient, and cleaned the area each day. I will say that the patio and enclosure exceeded my expectations. I would certainly use them again and would recommend them to friends and family."
"I decided that I wanted a standby electric generator for my house. Not knowing anything about generators, I began looking for advice on exactly what I should purchase. After talking to several electrical contractors, Tri-City was obviously the most knowledgeable on the subject. Chad (of Tri-City) helped me choose the right generator for my situation, with no promise that I would use him to do the installation. He and his brother Jason came by here to look at my situation and didn't try to get me to commit to anything or try the old trick of "We'll knock off the charge for the estimate when we do the installation". After I had chosen a generator and had it delivered, (I got it from electricgeneratorsdirect.com), Chad and Jason came out here and built a wood-framed gravel pad, made sure it was level and attractive, then moved the generator from my garage and placed it on the pad and did all the connections that were possible before the gas company came to perform some necessary modifications. After the gas was hooked up, they returned and completed the installation. Not only did they do an outstanding job, they stayed around for a couple hours testing it to make sure it was working properly. I no longer have to think about who I will call when I need anything electrical done! These guys are head and shoulders above any other electrical contractor I was able to find!"
"I had a fantastic experience with Bluestone Pool Solutions during my recent liner replacement. The team was not only friendly but also extremely knowledgeable about their work. They took the time to explain the process to me and answer all my questions, making me feel confident in their expertise. The quality of their work was exceptional, and I am thrilled with the final result. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of pool renovations or upgrades. Thank you for the excellent job!"
"The job went Great. Andy and his staff did a fantastic job. They went out of their way to complete the job to my satisfaction. They completed the job on time and performed above expectations."
"I highly recommend Brad We were in the process of selling our home and had to open repair and resurface our gunite pool that was 30 years old. He was able to drain the pool safely from all the debris, and repair any damage concrete, resurface and painted the pool. He also replaced the motor on the filter and re-piped all the pool lines. This was a huge job as the pool had not been opened in 4 years. He worked with our budget and was able to complete the entire job at a very reasonable cost ."

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts
The best temperature to paint a pool deck is between 50 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, because many paints and sealers require temperatures warm enough for the chemical reaction to take place for proper curing. The paint should not be allowed to freeze, and temperatures above 90 degrees can cause the paint to dry too quickly, also preventing the chemical reaction from following through to completion.
Yes, swimming in a pool with high calcium hardness is considered safe as long as you have sufficient chlorine and pH levels to keep bacteria growth under control. The main issue with high calcium hardness is that it damages your pool through rust and corrosion. However, if your water is hard enough to corrode your pool, you might want to consider finding methods to make it safe for drinking at home.
Calcium lumps in a pool are calcium deposits that form when a pool's water parameters are not in the normal range. They can float around on the surface of the pool water, making it look and feel dirty. The most common causes of calcium lumps in pools are calcium hardness above 1,000 ppm, alkalinity over 120, and a pH over 7.8. Keeping your pool’s calcium levels, alkalinity, and pH levels within the normal, safe ranges is the best way to prevent calcium lumps and other problems, including damage to the pool surface.
Sometimes, homeowners choose to install their pool on concrete, foam tiles, or patio pavers. Leveled dirt is also fine, as long as it’s not sod or grass. Regardless, you’ll need to install sand as a buffer to prevent your liner from tearing. Some pool installers also use a protective foam pool pad.
Pool concrete or gunite can take several weeks to cure, or an average of 30 days, before workers can resume construction. Additional work and finishes push the time to build a pool out of concrete to between three and six months. There are many types of pools that take far less time, so keep these in mind if you're on a short timeline.
