"So happy I went with USA Insulation. After learning about foam insulation, I knew it was the right option for my house. They insulated my walls and attic in a day and a half, and I could feel the difference right away."

"Everything went according to plan. Crawlspace insulation was replaced and closed space was sealed up. A air inducer was also installed. The environment is totally different down there now and is much closer to the temperature of the house. I kept my vapor barrier the same."

"Ed came when he said he would and had a proposal to me the next day.  This company is busy and I see why.  Each crew that showed up was professional and hard working.  We had a little communication glitch, but it was not a big deal and they went above and beyond.  I'm happy with the work and the price and I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

"They acted as a very professional company. I called to schedule an estimate, the gentleman showed up the next day. He explained in detail what they would do and was willing to negotiate the cost. The day before work their scheduler called the confirm I'd be available. They showed up on time, worked diligently, and cleaned up before they left."

"Great. I was told by a plumber who went under the house that I had a lot of mildew. When Andrew came, he inspected it and he told me it was not that bad, where as he could have taken advantage of me and charge me more (for example is the issue was on the insulation). I went into the crawlspace with him and verified. He educated me one how they would remove it. I took "before" pictures. He also explained the liner, which will prevent future issues and bring it up to current "specs". So, I paid for that. After: The crawl space joists were perfectly clean! The liner was perfectly laid. l took "after" pictures. It literally smelled cleaned too. He met me on time and finished on time. Definitely a great job."

"Entire experience was excellent!  We called Pat on Monday morning and he met us Tuesday morning to evaluate our problem / situation.  He called Tuesday afternoon to walk through the assessment and cost.  Wednesday morning his team was on site.  They were very courteous and clean.  All the work was completed by Thursday and I met with Pat's HVAC manager to review all that he did.  He then went back under the house to "clean up some things he saw that he didn't like" that a previous contractor had done years earlier - at no charge!!  The entire process went very smoothly and we could not be happier with the process.  Pat runs an honest, diligent operation where he doesn't try to sell you something you don't need and gives you options on the things you do need.  I would recommend Integrated Systems of the Triangle to anyone needing HVAC, Electrical or Insulation work!"

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Insulation in Durham benefits from annual inspections for settling, moisture, or pest issues, particularly after humid summers or heavy storms. Check for condensation and ensure attic ventilation is working to prevent mold. Every 5–10 years, a professional energy audit can help identify areas needing improvement. Homes with mature trees or older construction may require more frequent checks to maintain optimal home comfort.

Helpful?

Upgrading insulation in Durham can noticeably enhance your home’s value and resale appeal. Local buyers are drawn to homes with improved energy efficiency and home comfort, especially as utility savings become more important. Recent studies show that well-insulated homes in Durham often sell faster and for higher prices, making insulation upgrades a smart investment for both immediate comfort and long-term marketability.

Helpful?

If you notice high utility bills, uneven temperatures, or drafts in Durham, it’s best to prioritize insulation service promptly. Signs like mold, condensation, or pest activity also indicate urgent attention is needed. If your home remains comfortable year-round and energy costs are stable, you may be able to wait. Many Durham homeowners find that fall offers ideal conditions for insulation upgrades.

Helpful?

In Durham, homeowners may encounter hidden costs during insulation projects such as air sealing, mold or pest remediation, and electrical updates, especially in older homes. Additional expenses can arise from asbestos testing in pre-1980 properties, ventilation improvements, structural repairs due to humidity, or permit fees. Planning for these potential issues helps ensure your insulation project supports lasting home comfort and energy efficiency.

Helpful?

In Durham, most insulation service projects are completed efficiently. Attic or crawl space insulation typically takes 1–2 days, while wall insulation may require up to 3 days, depending on your home’s layout and accessibility. Full-home retrofits generally take 3–5 days. Homes built before 1980 in Durham may need extra prep for air sealing, but the region’s mild weather helps keep timelines on track.
