In the first meeting was led to believe that this was a large company.. come to find out they only had 1 employee and used subcontractors to install. To list the initial problems: Wrong equipment ordered and installed Wrong refrigerant used compared to agreed upon quote Work until after midnight No way to install air filters Time promised - initially was told 1 day… but became 2 weeks Upon mentioning these issues, the price was adjusted to match the frustration - and was promised that they did not do business this way. Hired them for a second phase of our overall install project - only ran into the same kinds of issues - never shows up when promised, always running behind, don’t do the promised work. Overall - an absolute pain to work with! Even today, came to finally fix the original air filter issue - but took the old grate and added hinges instead of fixing as promised. DO NOT HIRE!"

Yes, a frozen AC unit can affect your indoor air quality since the reduced airflow won't be as effective at removing air pollutants, like dust and other allergens. Additionally, ice around the unit can create excess moisture, leading to mold and mildew that can damage your home if you don’t catch it early.

The general rule of thumb for figuring out how much AC tonnage you need in your home is that for every 500 to 600 square feet of space you need to cool, you’ll need one ton of AC cooling power. So, a 1,000-square-foot home will need 2 tons of AC power. 

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.

A few drips here and there should not be cause for concern, but if your unit is leaking a large amount of water, then it’s advised that you stop using it until the problem is identified and a solution is determined. The more you use it during a leak, the more issues it will cause.

You may be able to clean mold from your air conditioner in some cases. If the mold growth only takes up a small area, you can use either vinegar or bleach mixed with water to remove it. Larger areas of mold should be left to the professionals, though. It's also a good idea to leave mold removal to the pros if you are sensitive to mold or have asthma.
